It seems my ESC is too old, as what I was looking for "Throttle Frequency" adjustment is not available on my original version Tekin RS Pro. If you are familar with Hotwire, what settings should I tweak for 17.5T Stock Spec 2WD Buggy Racing? Should I change my neutral width or current limit? Let me know! Thanks.
All these settings are clearly explained in the manual (or on the web page), it is not the fault of the Hotwire, although a basic explanation is provided. As for settings for 17.5, bunch of setups on the Tekin page (your RS Pro is not going to have the same setups as the RS Pro BE, as you have discovered).
You can use your phone for the Hotwire 2.0, just need an USB cord with the appropriate hookup for your phone. If you want Bluetooth then you need the 3.0 version.
Love my Hotwire3. I can actually use the app right on my radio. Super easy to set up the ESC. I'm really curious about the HobbyWing WiFi module since I do run a few HW ESCs. I really hate the group Tekin uses to secure products on the package.. royal bastard to get that stuff off. I'm having a laugh, I have a similar background on my computer... Came with Windows I guess.
Haha you noticed the goop clip. Yeah that stuff is nasty! Hobbywing Wi-Fi express works well, and with iOS too. When you say Hotwire app on radio you have that Spektrum Android TX I guess?
Thanks. I still need more advice or trial and error oh how adjusting some of this settings affects the drive. I’ll try to make it out to a practice soon to change things.
FYI if you want to see what's in the newest software that I cannot access with my older 1st Gen Tekin RS Pro, it's here www.teamtekin.com/updateguide.html

Before brushless power and lipo, we used model memory on our radios for track/traction conditions!😀 Keep up the great videos!
Power settings are good for low traction/bite tracks.
Can you use Hotwire and still plug in the fan?
This one needs Rx port, so yes you can keep the fan on the ESC. At least I think you can. I don’t keep Hotwire connected while running.
I use Hobbywing with with my phone. Very easy when you are outside.
Yes me too. And it works on iOS and Android.

DX6R. Yes. Love that thing. Can be a little finicky, but it works extremely well once accustomed to it.
Great information and video
