I nominate Jim for the JCAA sportsperson of the year. Who else advocates for recreational anglers as much. He probably already won it before though I’m guessing
Jim, have 2 of the Ocean Born baits made by Patrick Sebile in my plug bag. Yes, they are heavy and do cast a country mile. Nice big upturned mouth too that spit lots of water. Thanks for the update as always.🎣
The SP Bullet was re-introduced by Yo-Zuri under a new name. Yo-Zuri version is called "Hydro Monster Shot". Yo-Zuri is advertising it as the latest and greatest. Monster Shot is the exact same lure as SP Bullet. What's old is new again. I'm sure you'll also get the same results in the surf, no fish, LOL! What a scam?
Did not remember the SP Bullet, thanks Karate. Action was great on Friday and Saturday along some stretches at the Jersey Shore, and the long cast lures certainly had their place in the mix. -JH
Never know about the mandatory use of PFD from November to May. Maybe four years ago a 30 sonething kyaker lost his life on the Delaware River above the Taciny Bridge during a summer weekday. He was not wearing any PFD. Have seen marine police stop nogoodnics on jet skis with young kids and no PFD. They should impound the jet skis when a oarent places a child in a very dangerous situation.
"Never know about the mandatory use of PFD." That's why I highly recommend a subscription to The Fisherman Magazine JT! That's the type of news and information we delivery 38 times a year in printed and digital editions. For turning over the surf, tumbling things up and disorienting bait yes, onshore winds are great for getting stripers in tight to feed in all that bedlam. But personally, I think when bunker schools are thick and tight as they are in the fall, given that species notoriously noses up into the wind, an offshore wind brings bunker tighter to the beach, the bass with them. -JH
Wish they would of posted my friends pic from grumpys tackle he broke his pb striper48inches last Friday with a 50inch striper and both caught from the surf his name was Mike tindall he’s been catching big stripers from the surf for weeks now he doesn’t like to post them to much

We fish for rock in chesapeake bay around tangier Island. Never seen so few fish .
The mortality rate of harvested stripers is a 100%. 🤣
🤯
Tasty Tuna!
Looks great,,
This weekend would be good off the surf
You’re killing me, Jim I have to work tomorrow
Last cast always means at least 3 more casts.

Thought East was the best in NJ, when shore fishing

"Most" of the images used weekly are sent or forwarded to me Ashley, but congrats to Mike Tindall for his new PB (I don't believe I saw it) -JH
😢 it was because of complications from a hit-n-run!? Omg 😢
You need a plastic fork. That thing is so loud.
