The BRUTAL Execution Of Hitler's Brother In Law

  • As the Second World War came to a conclusion in Europe, Berlin was falling to the Red Army. The Battle of Berlin had reduced the city to rubble, but inside the Fuhrerbunker was Adolf Hitler and the remaining elements of his inner circle. Hitler would decide to see out the war and die within his bunker in Berlin, and he was surrounded by a number of his staff still. One person who remained at the bunker for a while was Hitler's representative of the SS, Hermann Fegelein.
Fegelein through the SS had risen through the ranks and was an ardent Nazi. He was also a war criminal who during World War 2 and Operation Barbarossa would slaughter and execute thousands whilst he commanded a cavalry regiment. These executions would devastate towns, and after injury Heinrich Himmler appointed Fegelein as Hitler's personal SS liaison officer. Himmler was close with him, and Fegelein developed quickly a reputation within Hitler's inner circle. At the Berghof he was often surrounded by women who deemed him to be very attractive.
Eva Braun, (Hitler's wife) would manufacture a marriage between Fegelein and her sister Gretl, and with this Fegelein would become incredibly closely linked to Hitler. He was in a sense his brother in law. However during the final days of the Battle of Berlin, Fegelein would try to escape the Fuhrerbunker and flee to a different country. However Hitler would realise and would order his arrest and capture. He was quickly found and Fegelein was sentenced to death and was dragged out to the Reich Chancellery Garden above the bunker. Outside he was shot 'like a dog' in brutal fashion as Berlin crumbled around him.
So join us today as we look at 'The RUTHLESS Execution Of Hermann Fegelein - Hitler's Brother In Law.'

Don't be so shy about Hermann Fegelein career. As a fuhrer of one of the 4 sonderkommando in Russia in 1941, he personally supervised more than 100000 civilian executions. So his 'ruthless execution' was the undeserved act of mercy just ahead of his inevitable hanging by allies.

For quite a while, the Gestapo had been trying to figure out the source of information and rumors from the Nazi inner circle that was being broadcast on a false flag radio station operated by British military intelligence, and they immediately figured that she was a British spy and Fegelein had talked about things he shouldn't have. Watched the vid, read the comments (which unanimously support the vid). I was less impressed, frankly. Portions of this script were taken verbatim from Wikipedia. By many accounts, the disgust described by German eyewitnesses like Speer, and authors like Shirer, was attributed to his groveling and brown-nosing his superiors in order to stay out of danger, up to and including marrying Eva Braun's sister despite being sexually involved with several other women at the time. NOT from being a murderous Nazi war criminal in the likeness of Rudolf Hoess, Amon Goeth, Theodore Eicke, etc. Yes, he was a devout horseman, but certainly NOT a combat officer of any mention, nor even a die-hard National Socialist... simply an opportunist with absolutely no integrity or morals. The mass executions committed by his SS cavalry unit were at at time when the unit had been parceled out to support the under-staffed Ordnungs-Polezei... Fegelein himself, temporarily a commander with no one to command, stayed in Warsaw, and turned to drinking, women, and general graft (theft, bribery) as a way to keep occupied. When he WAS forced to actually take command, as when he made him CO of the SS Cavalry Brigade, even Himmler reprimanded him bc his "numbers of Jews rounded up and/or killed was far too low". He was involved in several combat operations, but seemed to get conveniently wounded each time. And for that, he was awarded the Knight's Cross, then reassigned to Hitler's staff for the rest of the war. Many women spoke of him being a "dashing cavalier", but not terribly intelligent... the modern equivalent of a "himbo". As the war became lost, Fegelein increasingly turned to drinking as a means of escape, at a time when more ardent Nazis were planning to either kill themselves [and their families] or escape justice via the Odessa rat line. Fegelein was far, far more pathetic than he was evil.

Hey Gil. Speer probably understand that borman and himmler forced him into that marriage, that's why he was out partying. he was practically checked out as soon as he checked in. I'm not sure you appreciate the insanity of the circus that was the high command. It wasn't all the job was cracked up to be. As far as the mass murder is concerned, it's little known that he wanted a front line command, mostly to get the hell away from so-called antipartisan duties forced on him by himmler. Those numbers, were inflated, just like the exaggerated status reports that enabled his unit to be placed in operational reserve at the front in december of 41. People assume because they report 200 guns confiscated that they didn't face larger forces. When the whole village burns in the midst of a firefight, you're not going to look for every gun left behind in every smoldering cottage. I also find it interesting that Dirlewanger was assigned to his brigade for a few months. Those guys did whatever the hell they wanted. You could say that in his early brigade days there were severe disciplinary problems in his unit, which himmler welcomed because those were the guys doing what himmler wanted. You have to remember Fegelein was not a trained soldier in any respect. Despite all of that, and a severe ass kicking in February of 42, he did rather well on the front lines after the brigade was reinforced with different troops, motorcycles, AA, and antitank capabilities. He was awarded the KC for taking a key road against superior numbers. To say that he got it for getting shot really not fair. The part about his ambition was totally true, so he was never forced to finally take command in the first place, he was eager and kept getting sidelined. Making the rank of general in command of a division was what he set out to do in the first place and I think getting sniped is what finally got him to let go of the idea of being a field general. Btw get a look of the dirty look he gave himmler in 44 in that video he's in. It says a lot.
I wouldn't call him pathetic, I don't believe anyone pities him. Naive and ambitious, perhaps.

This is a great story, and fairly accurate , HOWEVER , it failed to include the part of his girlfriend when he was arrested , one MATA O HARA ( not , the MATA HARA of ww1 ) this part, was a WILD , and humorous incident due to MATAs method of escaping the 2 Gestapo men , sent to arrest them both , TWICE

@@mrhamburger6936 ....what? There was an NKVD (yes, I know, not the most accurate of sources) that says Herman Fegelein was shot in the back of the neck and his body thrown into a nearby shell hole. Hitler and Braun committed suicide and then their bodies were set on fire (apparently). Then, on the way back to Moscow, the remains would be buried in the evenings and other units try to steal the body to present to Soso. It became some sort of macabre game like “Wack a mole” except it was “Dig up the bodies”.

Honest enquiry will reveal that it was the communists of the red army that murdered large numbers of Polish intellectuals and professional people - NOT the Nazis.
For many years after the war the communists accused the Nazis of murdering 20,000 Polish military officers, intellectuals and clergy in a wood in Katyn.
I believe it was 1997 when the Russians finally admitted that it had been their soviet era NKVD secret police that had carried out the attrocities.
The murders were in revenge for the red army's defeat by the Polish army in 1920 - at the battle called: 'The miracle on the Vistula'.
The Poles in 1920 had stopped the red army from invading Europe.

Wouldn't say it was a ruthless execution just another execution by firing squad. Headlines a bit miss leading but with good content.
