Early morning in Argentina and the sheer pleasure of seeing you work, whatever it is you are making, puts a smile on my face and sets the tone for the day to come! Thank you sir.
I love that you are so often revisiting your designs and improving them. Clearly what you are making has purpose and is used instead of being left to gather dust after only a few uses. Great work as always!
Fantastic! Every tool or jig that you make is extremely accurate! I know that every project that you build would be of the same standard. Thanks for sharing.
Excelent video as allways... as a teacher, i tend to share the slider ruler with my students, and what i see is that they forguet to unscrew the fixing screw. i sugest you to add a material on the screw-ruller interface such as a bronce strip to avoid tearing off the numbers. Best regards!
Hello JSK, Suggestion : If it's possible , just please enumerate the brand of the tools that you use it your video. It helps people that want to do the same. I'm talking in all your videos ! Thanks, you do very precise/clean works! 🙂
Well done, next upgrade, a small cutout to see the numbers better and add a blade for the arrow across the cutout to help align. Further upgrade, you're always using a marker, insert the marker in the instrument.
At 0:50 only one of the brass strips needs to be movable. The other piece is fixed square. And therefore you only need one screw in the middle of the moveable brass piece. 3 adjustments no longer required.
Facinating! You guys are so fortunate to have all those little accessories at hand to add to your dexterity of craftman ship. Anyway, those male and female screws what is the right name and where can they be otained. Thanks.
Just a light hearted comment - If I made the marking gauge, I would firmly fix one strip of metal and use the other piece to connect against the ruler. Cheers.
“Ruler Marking Gauge with adjustment fonction” or “The Art of making something that was already perfect even more perfect". For once, I have stopped my work to look at yours. Excelente proyecto muy bien desarrollado y mejor ejecutado, como siempre un trabajo fino e impecablemente terminado, gracias por compartir sus conocimientos y experiencias, con los pobres mortales, un saludo cordial y por supuesto un gran like desde Narón (Galicia) 🔝 🤓
Hello friend. I've been following your videos for a few days and I'm enchanted by each project. And I'm also enchanted by your tools and the care you show with each one of them. Could you tell me where I can purchase the center marker punch you use? This one has a kind of magnifying glass that helps you visualize the line. Thank you very much.
I had to search it up too. They're called optical center punches. Pretty pricey for a center finder, but after seeing it being used I'm going to need to add this to my list of things I want but will wait to spend a gift card on.

man you are good! I just wish that you share the tools you used as well as the supplies, like the pencils, double sided tape ( I have asked for this before).
Beautiful I do that when fixing bolts or screws I screw down in opposite diagonal corners and then I tighten each one fully it keeps the item straight and flush

forgive me if I am wrong, maybe some kind of grease would make friction as low as possible. and options of adjustment is very convenient. love your work vey much.
the "see through" brass & glass? Centre punch with crosshairs. is this something you made or a purchased item? if a purchased item could I please have a link so that I too may purchase?
Hello, I have purchased and took a look at your plans for this Marking Gauge which almost seem complete except for Assy Dwg 04 which I believe the 4-M4x112mm low head bolt is incorrect and should be M4x12mm lg. I hope you would correct this and let me know. Thanks for the plans.
It seems like this should just be for measuring and not for squaring. You will always be fighting the play in an adjustable device you use to square. Just my 2 cents....
I enjoy your videos so much! There’s always something thoughtful to learn from your designs and your skills. Where could I find one of the angle guides you frequently use?
Damn, I get goosebumps every single time I watch you build something, for various reasons and your kanal is one of my absolute favorite. Outstanding as always, still admiring the level of precision you obtain with wood and aluminum. Keep on, exquisite content! 🤐😁
For the upper (light) part, make a ruler clip, in the form of a brass plate. Otherwise, the ruler screw will scrape the ruler and destroy the markings. This will make the plate slide over the marking.
This lens punching hole locator.... What is this? Is this for sale? I just loved it. I developed a few technics to locate screw rivets, threaded inserts and somethigs like this. But I just want this one. Less mistakes in just one tool.

I don't think my Super Nintendo System has that function.
@@MrDaneBrammage 7uuûjy
Why don't you use an old steel ruler as the bushings - same metal much longer before adjustment needed or wear?
@@mrmjspencer so the replaceable part is the part that wears not the ruler
If I had friends, I WOULD!!! 😁

Najlepszy w tym wszystkim, to jest ten "celownik" do punktowania 😁. Ale ogólnie to ładna robota 😎
Disfruto mucho viendo sus creaciones y la pulcritud con las que las realiza, gracias maestro
Nice work as always. We shared this video on our homemade tools forum this week 😎

Great update. I would grind a little of the corner of adjustable brass parts where you insert ruller for easier insertion.
That's a great idea with metal guides at the sides to prevent widening? Great I see this now before I make my own based on your template thanks

I think it is a good idea to fix a pad under the tightening knob , so that it is not scratching the as ruler.

This is a tool called an optical center punch.
It is commercially available.
I want one of those and one of those cool centre punches also !!
Excellent and Perfect Job. Thanks for sharing. ;-)❤
What is the "sight glass" you used at about 12:53 in the video?
awesome job Bro
Лайк за видео! И особенно за керно! Интересно где такое взять?
This would work so well if it has 2 functions, one to measure at right angle, and another to get perfect circles. No more compasses necessary.
A ruler with a center slot. Two different tightening screws to make both designs work maybe?
Good job 💪💪💪
REALLY cool!!!!
The wood tools you use reminds me of Lego Land. But, they work.
