    Wooo…. You can just start with the $2,500 as the first con, and stop there. That’s a complete fail.

      Indeed! Dyson is always expensive but that price 🥴 the most expensive roborock had wet cleaning and a whole a** home.

    • @Lens_Addict
      @Lens_Addict  ปีที่แล้ว +6

      It is a lot of $$ for a non auto empty, non mopping, no obstacle avoidance robot vac. hopefully it comes down on sale.

  • @arevee9429
    @arevee9429 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    Dyson stick vacs also have small passages that can get clogged. For the price mentioned, I'd get a Robrock with a self-emptying base, floor mopping, and lidar (much better than camera nav) navigation. I've tried the i7 with camera nav and it's not as good as lidar. Is pet waste that big a problem in peoples' homes? I've got 2 indoor dogs and there aren't scads of pooh-piles that need to be avoided.

    • @salemas5
      @salemas5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      if that self-emptying base was bagless then i would consider it too, but when it costs 1700 and then you have to constantly buy dust bags its a big no no

      I agree@@salemas5, when you buy a robot vac, you should also take into consideration any ongoing costs (which people don't tend to think of at the purchase point)

    Great review. What you don't show is the Dyson breaking after 3 months. I've never seen a brand with so many refurbished units of their products on sell than Dyson. You would think a company that charges a premium would have hardware that would almost never fail. That's what you're paying for right? Also, you never purchase a company's early units in a specific field. I would wait awhile until they get all the quirks out which it appears to have many.

  • @DJ-HGLegacy
    @DJ-HGLegacy ปีที่แล้ว +3

    What good is all that power in the Dyson if the software sucks. That is a lot of money for something that doesn't work the way it's supposed to and cannot even get the edges cleaned correctly. In addition, the battery life is just abysmal. I just think that Dyson was trying to put something out quickly in order to cash in on the huge robot market but that is a huge fail on their part because their robot vacuum is a huge fail. Also, they do not even have a self cleaning option with this robot vacuum. Most of the players out there in this area are leaps and bounds ahead in options and features that Dyson does not currently have and maybe not even looking to add these options anytime soon.

    • @Lens_Addict
      @Lens_Addict  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The battery life is ok when you run it on auto mode, gets around 30-50 minutes in auto. In boost/ max mode it doesn't last very long though.

    • @Clove_Parma
      @Clove_Parma ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They've been designing it since before 2019... You shouldn't use any cordless vacuum on boost at all times, particularly when it has a sensor to automatically do it when necessary. Battery life isn't a huge concern when the vacuum learns how much runtime it needs to complete a clean and adapts charging times accordingly to clean quicker. Overall huge missed opportunity that it doesn't do the same area until it detects it's been cleaned properly though

    • @Blackout720
      @Blackout720 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It doesn't need self cleaning as the emptying system is fast and efficient unlike any other robot vacuum on the market. That's why the have stations to empty robots which basically just clutter your house.

    • @DJ-HGLegacy
      @DJ-HGLegacy 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Blackout720 So you would rather clean out the robot every time or every other time you use it than empty it out every two to six months? I let my robot do it's thing and don't have to even think about emptying for a long time. I will still with my robot.

    It has 3300 Pascal's and is $2.5k and it doesn't even have LIDAR lol
    For less money you can buy either a 6000 Pascal s8 with a base station to auto empty OR a S7maxv ultra (5100 Pascal's) or Ecovacs x1 omni (5000 Pascal's) both with auto empty capacity, the ability to refill the clean water, empty the dirty water and clean the mop heads.
    As a bonus all three of those machines don't get stuck on basic things and aren't hideous like this. Dyson robot

  • @zzzzzap

    Sadly Dyson is not updating a lot when it comes to software. It usually takes long time to the next update when it comes to the firmware. Of course the app is updated very often, but that doesn't improve the robot's software. But the good thing is the dyson doesn't bump again the furniture like the roomba does. I would not really like that my cleaning robot is constantly bumping against the furniture. The Roomba looks like made very cheap compared to the Dyson.
