BMW FSC free code generation for E or F series

- Typo in the video around 1 minute in - I ended up demonstrating new install and code generation.
This video demonstrates how to use FSC tool generator to generate one or lifetime code to be used for BMW Navi maps update. Apologies Video is long.
Below are the steps that i found packaged with the software, i dont take credit for creating the software or steps.

1. Install “Patched_EDIABAS_7.3.0.msi”;
2. Open “ediabas konfigurator2.0.0.exe” and select from the “[Configuration] Interface =” ENET - !!! make sure diagnostic port=6801 and control port=6811;
3. Open folder “copy files from this folder to C-EDIABAS-Ecu” and copy all files to folder C:\EDIABAS\Ecu;
4. Start car, plug your ENET cable to OBD port then plug it to Ethernet port from your laptop;
5. To be sure your car is connected to your laptop, go to C:\EDIABAS\Hardware\ENET\ZGW_Search.exe and check if there is a connection and you can see your car VIN;
a. If your car has CIC, use “1B CIC FSC File reader.exe” from folder “1B and DE FSC file reader”;
b. If your car has NBT, use “DE NBT FSC File Reader.exe” from the same folder;
6. Select F series, click CONNECT - should say okay, click Read VIN - should say okay again, click Read FSC (1B or DE) - you should get a 319 bytes string, click save to file - FSC file is saved in “1B and DE FSC file reader” folder;
7. Go to folder “BMW-FSC-Generator_1_0_0_x” and start “BMW-FSC-Generator.exe”;
8. Click Open (to open your saved FSC file), select your map version, for example: Road Map EUROPE Next 2017-1 and click Generate.
9. DONE. You now have a working FSC code!
Possible problems and fixes
Problem: When running ZGW_Search.exe you get "Component 'MSWINSCK.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid": Fix: * copy MSWINSCK.ocx in C:\Windows\System32 and in C:\Windows\SysWOW64 * open command prompt or cmd with administrator rights; right click on cmd and click run as administrator; * type: regsvr32 MSWINSCK.ocx and hit enter. Done
P.S. If you get an error with the 64bit compatibility, just delete the C:\Windows\SysWOW64\MSWINSCK.ocx and run again the above command.

Hi Shezi, I'm looking for FSC code to enable Bluetooth music streaming for my Countryman R60, I looked everywhere but I can't find information on where to get the code and how to use it to activate the Bluetooth streaming. Can you please give any tip that will direct me to what I'm looking for?

HI Shezi, Thanks for the Great Video, VEry Useful. There are several different members on EBAY offering to generate and selling the various BMW FSC codes (ROUTE are ranging from £15 - 45). Would you recommend this option ? or generate my own. Would I be right in saying if I buy the required FSC code for my vehicle from Ebay or a FSC code online, would i still need to purchase a ENET cable to update the MAPS? also my laptop does not have a ETHERNET/RJ45 Socket (ENET cable only come with RJ45 plugs approx £10) WIll the cable still work with a RJ45 to USB adaptor ??
Also Please could you offer some guidance where to download the latest maps (United Kingdom). Thanks in Advance
Lee arundale - if you buy the fsc code then you don't need enet cable as you will only need USB to update the maps on your car.
I have enet with rj45 and USB conversion as my laptop doesn't support enet directly.
Can you help me where can I find "copy files from this folder to C-EDIABAS-Ecu" folder?

Hi, I was given a FSC code to update my maps because the navi option has greyed out. but the car doesn't accept the code it says its incorrect. Any help thanks
@sabeel Sharif where did you get the code? It night not be the right now bc each code is specific to your car and radio unit
I cannot find the DE NBT FSC File Reader.exe within the EDIABAS folder, can you provide a link with the EDIABAS you used? I'm using the one attached to Mike's BMW tools and it doesn't seem to be doing the job
@jake rogers - can you check bmw forums. The reason I haven't posted the software is bc I am not the creator of it and can't just distribute it. There should be de nbt in there. Can u extract again and go through various folders..?
@@SheziMotorsport there is no longer a separate tool. Best to go through E-sys to pull the FSC. There is a guide to install the software and a walk through on pulling the code on Bimmer forums

Hi Shezi, I Installed the new maps on my F80 but now the navigation system ask me for the activation code. I have the activation code saved on a flash drive but it seems like my car does not read the file at all. Do you have any suggestions?? Thanks a lot
@oneChockenHunter - you have to type in the fsc code and ensure that files are on the root of the USB

i have cable interface ENET E-sys, i have program SW ID Reader v1.2 (FRW4.0 32/64bits)
, ediabas konfigurator 2.0.0 exe and ZGW_Search.exe - this program show me connection with my car.
in SW ID Reader.exe i see connection, i have good connect, read VIN is good
but if i read FSC my file is empty. do you haved problem like this? any solution?
Do you have it properly setup . Looks like you are missing the steps.. if edibas is configured correctly, and fsc should read without problems

@ssaltarin - if u Google for fsc code generation you will find it and nbt or nbt Evo maps for 2020 are available on forums as well...

@@SheziMotorsport no need for NBT, mine is CIC Business last version (E91-2012) and I know already that cannot install further than 2018-1 MOTION, cause of the capacity of the hard disk in the Hu is not enough :)
I know also that I can google for a generator but I would like to have the same one you have as well as the other tools you used, cause I already have 3 downloaded, and they are not the same, 2 are the same version (not yours but 1.91 by Jaeger) and the other one just have a folder with several different .exe and other files, but not theses ones I have to copy on EDIABAS/ECU folder,as I said your video is well explained, but to be 5 stars I would suggest to repeat it, recording it again and closer, cause I am sure no one can read clearly what you have there, quite difficult to read, except the turorial, after several tries I could see you have a 1.0.1.2 generator version (There are many generators on the net) and cannot find the same, just a different one (also 1.0.1.2) but is a fsc/ "ibac"(?) generator, also the folders with other components, no explanation about where or how to get them, I got already ediabas konf...,1b and De FSC file reader folder (?), etc etc, so if you got all this in a package, would be easier and great to just get it the same way (my opinion), mainly if they are safe and not infected with virus, like AiCoder that I heard is easier but have a trojan :).
Oh btw, be clear also about if we need to have already installed ediabas in order to have the EDIABAS folder ready, or we have just to create it, cause it says patched..., is just the patch?( to execute after install ready) or the only exe to install in order to have the ediabas working for the operation? :), I already decided to install it directly, and seems like is the program already patched, but I don't get anything on the ECU folder, is empty, so where to get those files to copy after to install it?, Thanks again for your kindness and have a great day.

@ssaltarin - glad to hear that you were able to source the software. If you have it installed only than u don't need and just following steps and going through multiple different software to get code and build the fsc and finally using USB to update the car. Just ensure either car is on charger or running, you don't want to kill the battery.

@Brian Fung - not sure what k-can cable is, but you will need enet cable.
@@SheziMotorsport Sorry my bad, it is K-dcan cable that is for the E class server. Does enet work for E60 as well?

One thing I don't get, how those who are selling FSC codes online, figure out my FSC code if they don't have a wired access to my car?
@nick066hu - I believe they are doing it soley off Vin number and those are generic. But they work.

If there is an algorithm that takes one set of numbers and forms another, strange that the algorithm has not yet leaked or been reverse-engineered in 20 something years. If there is no algorithm but a database somewhere in Munich that holds the totally random numbers attached to each Vin, strange that some have continuous access to it the past 20 years and nobody stopped this access.
I wish you would have included a ZIP folder including all the software required. It makes following your tutorial pretty pointless, especially when the links I find online tend to be dead.
