I’m an English teacher in Japan and I teach both from grade 7 to grade 12. I’ve found the students’ skills to be well beyond the scope of the textbook and was looking for ideas on making PBL more easily accessible for myself (for the sake of planning).

Hi Corinne; thanks for your feedback. I don't know if you are interested in media literacy, but one of my favourite sites with *free* resources is mediasmarts.ca which has tons of resources for all different subject matters.
In addition, I don't know if you are a member of CASLT (Canadian Association of Second Language Teachers) but we are building a huge bank of training resources as well as professional communities where you can ask questions like this and exchange with other FSL teachers.
I will also contact CASLT directly to see if they have anything to help you out :)
