I agree! He has given the world an amazing gift with his music! It was interesting to listen to his album where he took some of his biggest hits and transformed them into country type songs. I learned alot about piano watching him when I was young!!

Oh my goodness! You made me laugh right out loud during that last little piece you sang with! Another great lesson. Sometimes I would like to learn how to add the melody in as well because without that it just doesn't sound like a whole song to me. But I love what we are learning! Thanks for all the patient teaching and going slow so we can have time to "get it."
Glad you liked that little piece at the end! Just having some fun. I have thought about the melody parts - the problem I face is that it complicates it ALOT as far as making it easy, and keeping the lessons short. I'll try to add one in and see how it goes in the future though. Thanks!

Ok, Alberto, the best way for me to explain the "fancy" part is to play that first chord, and instead of playing all 3 notes at the same time, start from the lowest note and then play the middle note, and then the highest note.... THEN, play an A-flat on the octave above that 2 times before you move to the 2nd chord of the set. Does that make sense?

Hey Michael! Yes, there is! Basically, you move every note up or down the same amount (steps or notes). In my "Learn All The Chords" tutorial, you can see how the notes are the same, just played on different keys. Are you playing with music, or something that you've learned on my channel or something else?

Hey my new friend!! I absolutely LOVE my RD2000. Yes, I think they are modern enough to keep up with today's standards. Roland did a really good job of putting this one together several years ago to make it relevant then and now. I also use Keyscape when recording. Love the piano sounds. But using the RD2000 on it's own, when layering voices... wow!!! It is amazing and you can make a beautiful sound!!!

Check out the updated anniversary edition of this video on my channel. I was trying to keep it easy for everyone the first time, so I didn't have the bridge, but I did a follow up video that includes it. Just search my channel for it and let me know if you find it alright. 👍🎹
This attempt is noble, but the left-hand fingering is way off. Also, the base notes on the down beat and notes anticipating the next phrase are missing. These notes should be included because they are not difficult even on a basic rendition.

I feel happy to belong to a generation who grew up in the 60's, exposed to this wonderful evolution of music styles: rock and roll, blues, jazz, pop, r&b, soul, disco, funky, and so on. Also a lot of influence of bossa nova, classical piano and guitar (tarrega) and flamenco. When I realized in my early 30s that I had a talent for guitar and piano, I did my best, but most of my progress and learning has been achieved thanks to youtube channels like yours. Ok, Alberto, the best way for me to explain the "fancy" part is to play that first chord, and instead of playing all 3 notes at the same time, start from the lowest note and then play the middle note, and then the highest note.... THEN, play an A-flat on the octave above that 2 times before you move to the 2nd chord of the set. Does that make sense?

Hey Michael! Yes, there is! Basically, you move every note up or down the same amount (steps or notes). In my "Learn All The Chords" tutorial, you can see how the notes are the same, just played on different keys. Are you playing with music, or something that you've learned on my channel or something else?

Hey my new friend!! I absolutely LOVE my RD2000. Yes, I think they are modern enough to keep up with today's standards. Roland did a really good job of putting this one together several years ago to make it relevant then and now. I also use Keyscape when recording. Love the piano sounds. But using the RD2000 on it's own, when layering voices... wow!!! It is amazing and you can make a beautiful sound!!!

This attempt is noble, but the left-hand fingering is way off. Also, the base notes on the down beat and notes anticipating the next phrase are missing. These notes should be included because they are not difficult even on a basic rendition.
