What part of rolling down your window and handing over your license without having to be asked for it non compliant? What law says you have to keep your window down while the cop is off writing your ticket/s? Which penal code states you can only speak in the most polite tone when dealing with police or anybody else? I didn’t know being kinda rude and not stepping out or sitting down within milliseconds of being barked at was grounds to be brutalized.

Exactly, cops don't know or care about the law. The argument "had he been compliant..". We shoudn't have to comply with cops orders, only the law. Any cop who thinks otherwise is unfit. There is no legal obligation to be nice to cops and whether they feel disrespected or not should not dictate whether you get wrestled to the ground or not. Has it ever occured to any cop that if you act nicely to those you stop maybe they'll be nicer to you?! These cops came out extremely unprofessional and disrespectful and just wanted to show force. I hope they get sacked, sued and denied their p**sy a*s qualified immunity. Even toddlers get held accountable to a further extent than cops. Cops are the only sovereign citizens in society, and the most violent and cowardly on top of that.

@@doc-vg9lq It's not that simple. Not everyone just have the right to act like an asshole because someone disrespects them. There's such a think called "proffesionalism" and that is something that we can demand of those who get paid by tax money. They are trained in using violence and they are armed to the teeth, the least we can expect is that they show restraint and respect. Those cops did not, they have most definitely violated many people's rights and it'a about time they get held accountable.

work at Starbucks, 75% of your customers have attitudes and are rude all day while taking their orders because social media says you can. Nice analogy but you, miss a glaring difference - if you piss off a barista, he might spit in your latte - you piss off a cop he might kill you
If you don’t like a job where you interface with the public that has the potential of being rude then get a job where you don’t have to do that - like maybe you could be a landscaper and go walk around, pushing a lawnmower with noise cancellation headphones on.
Bottom line is, if you can’t deal with the requirements of the job, don’t take it - you don’t become a cook if you’re hyper averse to getting burned…

I honestly hate this Cop mentality of "we dont know these cops, but because they are cops, we have to stand by the badge and stand together". Cops are literally trained in diffusing/de-escalating situations. Where was Cops gentleman attitude? Let alone professionalism to let Mr Hill know why they wanted the window down? none of them had it, none of them communicated properly and in literally less than a minute it went from handing over an ID to being face down on the ground. These cops are garbage, dont have the proper training and anyone that stands by this type of policing are also garbage. Just like this podcast. So you three know, It is okay for cops to call out other cops. Thats how you police your own. That is how Iron sharpens Iron. Dont blindly stand by eachother (the badge) and justify it by stating things like "Mr Hill lit the fuse", or "we hate tinted windows". They should have diffused the lit fuse, and communicated why they want the window down. That would have gone longer and with better results than expecting the civilian to adhere to cops prenotioned imaginary standards of expected safety.

Initial stop was for speeding (a moving violation), keep that in mind. He rolled up the window and the officer said I can pull you out. Then it went from I can pull you out to I will pull you out, to being slammed on the ground in less than 1 minute. Mr Hill stated that he would comply and they didn't give him even 60 seconds to. The officers were out of line 100% and very dangerous to escalate a traffic violation that fast. He even told them he had a injury and they didn't care. He did not fly by them at 100 mph. He did roll the window down and he did hand him his info. after he was stopped Hill did not break any law. He was disrespectful but that is not a crime. Once the cop got the info he should have walked away and wrote the ticket but he got made when Hill rolled the window back up which is not against the law. Only 7 seconds elapse from the time the cop banged on Hill's window the second time to the time he was pulled out of the vehicle by an out of control tyrant. Disrespect is not a crime, a cop losing his temper and ripping someone out of their car only 7 seconds after telling them to do something is ridiculous. @@lisastupia2855 Not sure what your question is exactly. As far as I know Tyreek Hill did not challenge the speeding violation nor the seatbelt ticket. As far a complying goes, from what I see in the video, he is; clearly not as quickly as the officers would like, but he is not refusing to follow their lawful orders at any time.
They unnecessarily escalated the situation much too quickly to be justified by any claims, officer safety or otherwise. Danny Torres has been suspended SIX TIMES in his career (most, if not all, as a result of excessive force being used).
So people can have their varying opinions about whether or not Hill was complying with lawful orders but the excessive use of force is undeniable. The "Graham factors" are what is (and probably will be) used in determining this and they all favor Tyreek Hill . . .
      Severity of the crime
Whether the suspect is actively resisting or attempting to flee
Whether the suspect poses an immediate danger to anyone
. . . officer Torres is 100% in the wrong, both in pulling him from the car and handcuffing him face down on the pavement, as well as forcing him to sit on the ground later on.
We're not hearing anything about any of this because Miami-Dade is hoping it all dies down and stops getting attention.

Go see how many cops get shot during these stops and maybe you will have a different view. These guys have families to go home to as well. Its an easy thing to keep a window down and not be confrontational. It was Tyrekes actions that lead to him being pulled over and his ego that escalated this.

@@bobjohnson270 being a cop comes with inherent risks. Electricians and farmers have deadlier jobs than law enforcement. If you're not okay with that when you take the job, then you shouldn't be paid to do that job. Especially when your bad decision making leads to affecting the general public. If you're scared when you have all the resources available to someone, maybe you should go work in an office somewhere. Tyreek was never a threat, they knew who he was when they pulled him over, so this was a clear overreaction by at least the one overamped cop.

That being said, treat people how you want to be treated Tyreek. Anyone who wants to get arrested and then say its because "insert social justice reason here" this is a great playbook to follow.

Why don't you guys talk about how everyone is saying you don't have to roll your windows down for a police? Apparently that's the law in most states. Their defense for Tyreek is he gave them the license and didn't have to answer any questions after that w/ it being perfectly legal for him to keep his window up. I'm on the police side since I think that it's ridiculous to expect police to do their job if they can't ask questions, much less their safety being at risk if they cant see inside of the vehicle when it's tinted.
So how do you guys approach situations like this if it were a random person and possibly a criminal who behaves the same way with tinted windows having given you their ID but won't speak to you with rolled up tinted windows?

Which mean he expect to be treated the same at a traffic stop what she has indeed been treated the same at a traffic stop giving his color. Let's not take that away now these officers work this detail all the time. Since you like to speculate I'm going to speculate as well let's watch the video from the beginning people. These offices are sitting waiting for him to come obviously he come through there a little faster than what everybody else do everyday. Cuz they're sitting there waiting they're getting ready to pull out in traffic before he even makes it there which mean they have a lookout. Lol so we're going to listen to three police officers and think you're going to get the truth please spare me. At the end of the day being verbally disrespectful to a police officer is not a crime. The last time I checked it's protected under the Constitution that you three and them three took an oath to. Let's not to mention why you don't have your seat belt on well from the other angle you can clearly see him trying to take his arm out of the seatbelt. Before the cop snatched him out of the car. And another thing is why is it always when the cameras wasn't rolling okay well when the cameras wasn't rolling I seen two police officers. On the side of the road on motorcycles getting ready for his car to pass obviously they were waiting. Which would make this a profiling case never listen to a police officers defend other police officers cuz they'll never tell the truth. Remember it's the blue against us and that's how we should always see it I see it that way even with my law enforcement family members. I don't attend any functions or anything if they are around because it's the blue before you. At the end of the day at a traffic stop once you hand over driver's license and registrations you do not have to speak to the police officer. They tell you to exit the vehicle then you must give him the the time to exit the vehicle. And under no circumstances does the law allow a police officer to open up someone's vehicle and snatch them out. Now you'll see the outcome of what happens when you have money fighting the system versus when you don't There was no charges number one and the state will get sued because they definitely violated his constitutional rights. As citizens and as a country like the US we have constitutional law shit you officers must follow. You only know one thing you are in control at a traffic stop correction you are not in control at a traffic stop conduct your job and don't go above your job. We also see the antagonizing other police officer who just wants to be a badass It seems a little racist to me but it is what it is You guys are full of shit and this is why police officers all over the country cannot be trusted and to tell you the truth I don't care if it was a white person or black person when you pulled over by the police officers and automatically. Treated as if you are a criminal that's a problem without prior investigation it's a traffic stop remember that take the driver's license registrations go back to your vehicle and write the ticket and let the person go.

And you miss the guy in the gray hat how was he disrespectful That's his property All right We talking about a 700 and something $1,000 car Don't come knocking on my shit. That's number one number two we don't have to be respectful to police officers and when I say we. I'm meaning a citizens y'all need to know y'all please as offices and learn to de-escalate not escalate That's one. Number two once he hand his driver's license over he don't need to speak to the officer anymore and then the same question is for you that I had for your friend in a red shirt. What law is it that I must roll down my window while conducting the traffic stop what law is it that I can't roll up my window during a traffic stop. Now what law protects him from your officer while fellow officer of yours in a different department in a different state There is that protect us drivers and citizens from police officers just opening our car doors. How about this I'll give you one short-term Fourth amendment violation. Yeah y'all don't understand that do you no you don't You all are taught just to escalate the situation let them figure it out in court. And this is the reason why policing goes on today because if anybody sitting here listening to these assholes telling what it is that they're telling they have no factual law to back it.

    FAILING TO COMPLY?
Did I imagine him handing over his ID and insurance? What more is there to talk about? Go run the ticket. Non-compliance would be refusing to ID, not pulling over, not signing the ticket, etc. etc. You DO NOT have to "comply" with every whim of the officer, you have to follow LAWFUL orders. He pulled over. He rolled down the window and handed him his paperwork. Those are the only two opportunities he had to comply with lawful orders and he did so. Perhaps you mean OBEY not comply. Too bad though, he's not legally obligated to obey his every request.
It took 4 seconds then 7 seconds to go from "keep the window where it is" to "actually, get out of the car" to putting hands on him... Over alleged speeding.
Also, "keep the window down" was an unclear order to begin with. It was cracked. Keep it cracked, or roll it down all the way? Not that he had the time to comply anyway, but what exactly would that look like? "Keep the window down" and the window was down about 3 inches... Seems he was complying.
Was he nice? No. Did he fail to comply? We'll never know because you can't bark an unclear order and use that as an excuse then immediately change your mind and get physical, all in less than 15 seconds... Over a civil infraction.
He MIGHT have been doing 15 over, but reckless driving is a stretch. The man was late and in a hurry. He was maintaining his lane, going a constant speed, and not excessively or abruptly changing lanes. Im not sure what Florida's laws on reckless driving says, but in my state of TN and most other states, speeding alone cannot be reckless, it requires multiple factors, ie hard acceleration, excessive lane changes, unsafe cornering speeds, etc. Even if its EXCESSIVE speeding, there's an EXCESSIVE SPEEDING statute... The Cop was objectively more reckless if you want to argue that it was reckless, he blasted through traffic to catch up. While necessary to get to him and pull him over, he could have been riding a bit more carefully and simply caught up a bit later. Looked to me like Tyreek was already waiting for him in fact.
I hope this department gets their clock cleaned in court. These guys aren't fit to bag groceries, much less serve the public. They're egotistical, hot headed thugs leaching off of the Miami tax payers.
