Initially, I wanted to verify if my K-POP albums are authentic. And, one way to authenticate is through the Korean Music Copyright Association (KOMCA) sticker. While searching for ways on how to identify if the KOMCA sticker is fake or real, I came across a post on reddit (www.reddit.com...) that explains the meaning behind the words 'Flash On' written on the KOMCA sticker. At first, I had a hard time figuring out how it works. I thought maybe a video tutorial would make it easier for me but I haven't seen any in TH-cam or any platform. That's why, I decided to make a short video explaining how it works. I hope this video could somehow help you tell if your K-POP albums are fake or legitimate.
It was particularly difficult to film the rainbow-colored music note in camera. I think the video quality didn’t turn out so well. This is also my first tutorial video so I’ll try to do better in the future. 😉

I bought two albums and I just can't expect that I saw rainbow music notes in my owned KOMCA certified albums. Thank you a lot as a K-pop fan! Hwaiting!
Anyway, I also saw rainbow-coloured musical notes in my NCT albums and thank God that they're all real and official! From now on, I'm gonna buy all the K-pop groups, soloists, artists and musicians' official albums so let's don't patronise all the fake ones. I appreciated your advice, hwaiting!

My album does it but I can’t really see the rainbow bit that well, ( mostly white ) does that stil mean it’s authentic ?
I’m not sure about a white reflective note. But maybe you could try using a flashlight with stronger light or do it in the dark? It might seem white because of the lighting conditions. 😊

if its an older album it might be a US,Taiwan,Philippine,China,Japan press since they dont come with the komca sticker.
I’m glad that my first kpop album was real, because i bought it in a store called Velvet music in Amsterdam (i’m originally from Sweden but i have a holiday here now) i’m glad, because first, i really thought that they were selling fake albums💀

I checked my album Born Pink and Cheshire and they were fake KOMCA sticker was never a rainbow I'm sad now because I thought they were original
You can try doing the process in a dark room~ The rainbow thing is quite difficult to see..

i actually tried this with my twice album when it arrived. It was real! I should try it with newjeans (it was a pre order import from korea so i have very high hopes) overall this hack is great i recommend it for yalls albums if you have it!
I have the sticker and the seller said it was authentic but when I put the flash I don't see the note. I see a rainbow flash but the note itself is not as clear as the video . Fake?
Oh I think it’s still legitimate.. must be because of the lighting in the area where you tried it. Better to try it in a darker place

Hmm I’m not sure.. but I haven’t seen cases were fake albums were able to fake the KOMCA sticker. I guess it’s safe to say that if the KOMCA sticker is real, the album is real too. Unless they tampered/replaced the sticker…

It is supposedly a rainbow-colored note but I think the note might not be visible because of the lighting conditions of the area you are in…

I have a question the komca sticker is there and it has the lines when I turn the flash on but it doesn’t have the music note so is it authentic
Which lines do you mean? I’m not certainly sure about your case but the holographic music note appears if the sticker is authentic. It might be the case that you might just be having a hard time seeing the holographic music note? It was hard for me to see it too. I guess you can really try striking the light onto the note of the sticker, and focus on looking at the light that it produced.
