I wasn’t sure about fuzz, so I bought a Behringer super fuzz & it’s pretty awesome. It’s time for a big-boy fuzz now. Tone bender seems like a good candidate. Cool chucks.
I'm afraid I'm not nerdy enough to be able to explain the differences in the circuits... but sound-wise, to me it's all about the midrange. I think the original TB was very much like a Fuzz Face but then they became more growly/snarly/raspy. Muffs are generally more thick and buzzy than either.
The mk1 was based on a Maestro FZ-1 but made to run on higher voltage, the Mk1.5 is essentially a Fuzz Face. The MK2 put an additional “boost”-like gain stage in front the Fuzz Face style circuit. The Big Muff is a whole different thing using 4 stages of amplification with fairly detailed filtering and clipping diodes happening in the feedback path.
Thank you for getting right to the point!
Cheers, that's why I started this channel!

I think my desert island fuzz would be a TB of some kind. Probably that Williams, actually...
Hey man, can you explain me tone benders and differences between three versions? How different they compared to fuzz face and big muff?

@@andrewmorgan693important to note that the 1.5 existed before Arbiter released the Fuzz Face
What guitar and amp are you using?
Guitar is a Harmony Silhouette, 'amp' is an Origin RevivalDrive running through Torpedo Wall Of Sound. I'm using that for all the Fuzz Frenzy demos.
