This shit cuts so deep, and even as you critique your own insatiable attention to detail, you can see that same level of care present in so many aspects of this. I'm sure there's a million things in, but one I wanted to focus on is the "Mesmerizer" music video in the background at 30:39. "Mesmerizer" is a song about the unease of consuming mindless content (among other things), and as someone who makes TH-cam videos myself, I feel a need to make videos that try to be more than something people just "consume". I hate the word content, I want what I put out to be art, but at the end of the day there's not much of a difference between what I make and what others make other than my own feelings about the subject. This shit comes full circle even in "Mesmerizer" as the song has become popular for it's color and animation. Even though it is laden with Easter eggs and meaning like your video, it's ultimate value is mindless consumption.
This video is so surreal, and I'm not dure what else to say about it. I do want to say this, I can at least somewhat relate. I don't really relate to the video making part of this, but I can relate to believing that your work isn't good enough, that what you've made is bound to disappoint the people you're trying to entertain. What I'm talking about is dueltaining where I want to show off the absurd nature of Six Samurai. The first deck I took was the Rainbow Bridge droll combo, and that was absolutely amazing, but now it's become this looming ideal that everything else I do has to be at the same level of absurdity. I have ideas that may be funny, but are they as big as the RB droll combo? "No, it's not. It's not good enough, no one is going to find this funny and no one is going to like it." That's the horrible things that my inner voice is telling me, and each time I think of something funny, it's just not good enough.
I couldn't identify everything on the second monitor but I absolutely want to acknowledge: MESMERIZER on the second monitor during the deepest parts of the denial was an excellent touch.

Correction, new thing to say. This is art. Not sure if I'm getting everything perfectly right but it's the story of a man who, like any of us, is struggling with a goal. A dream. A mission. Yeah that guy is you but so is the other guy. Or maybe you're none of them, and this is just all for some parable, and you're using the character of jaxelms to tell it. But my interpretation of this art is something like the gut vs the brain. The reaction to something and the awareness that our reaction was wrong, but also the inability to develop a new reaction. It's all so real and palpable. If this isn't your story, it's definitely the story several viewers are glad to see. Because Life is lonely.
