Honestly, comparing 2NE1's debut with BlackPink's debut, I think 2NE1 had a bigger impact. I say this cause at the time, there was literally NO GIRL GROUP LIKE 2NE1. They turned the Kpop world full of cute concepts upside down. They were also a group who wasn't seen as 'traditionally' pretty. Blackpink on the other hand are debuting in an era where literally every concept has been done. As a blackjack and Blackpink Stan, I like both groups, but nothing will ever compare to 2NE1's debut. They were really one of a kind.
Dango Daikazoku I'm afraid people will forget about 2NE1 and just start stanning blackpink. It's okay to like Blackpink but i don't want people to just forget about the real queens here..
Today, 2ne1 debuted and broke korean standards of girl groups. They won multiple awards and even won Rookie of the year. They were a killer group and even though they were first stated by Yg that they were the "girl" version of BIgbang, they managed to make a name of themselves. 2ne1 was a really loved and respected group. They are still respected and if though we had to say goodbye months ago, they left us good music to listen to and of course, memories. Thank you Park Bom, Sandara Park, Lee Chae-rin and Gong MIn-ji
2ne1 and Sone 2014. My favorite is Dara because she's the only one who's able to speak Tagalog language even though I live in the northeastern United States just like Park Bom

The anticipation YG built around this group was (is) unmatchable--I was on Kpop forums daily talking about Lollipop, their teaser images, any news, and finally their audio teasers. This MV was seriously one of the best things I'd seen at the time: their image, their attitude, their sound, their feel.... totally different. Dara's part especially, with the fire and the hand dance and Indian sound, was my favorite. Their MV were top notch. I think they started the whole thing with high quality futuristic sets, lights, and expensive outfits/props.

I miss old kpop. This song was still popular back 2012-13 even it's released 2009, i used to dance with song back then. I didn't even know this and gangnam style was from kpop and is korean. (I thought it was american music, im so dumb) 1st and 2nd generation of kpop is still the best. PERIODICALLY.

2ne1 is the reason I became a KPOP fan. They are the living proof that talent supercedes outer appearance that most Kpop groups hold onto so much.
The difference between this and today's Kpop is that the music stands by itself. It would succeed even over radio. Nowadays what matters is standardized perfect looks and dance ability. There is less individualism.

I remember staying up very late to watch this MV drop back in 2009 for this first time. The anticipation YG built around this group was (is) unmatchable--I was on Kpop forums daily talking about Lollipop, their teaser images, any news, and finally their audio teasers. This MV was seriously one of the best things I'd seen at the time: their image, their attitude, their sound, their feel.... totally different. Dara's part especially, with the fire and the hand dance and Indian sound, was my favorite. Their MV were top notch. I think they started the whole thing with high quality futuristic sets, lights, and expensive outfits/props.
