My parents met through TM. I am getting back to listening to Gandarva Veda as my main source of sattvic music. I also Love bhajans/ kirtan. I currently live at my Gurus Ashram in Chicago. My time spent in India at Amma's Ashram at Amritapuri for 14 years in Kerala, India, my Gurus Ashram is so precious. I was a teenager. Plus adult my time spent at Amma's Ashram. I take this opportunity to thank Amma for finding me in the 80's in my hometown Seattle, Washington. Amma saved my life. Thank you, Amma. Thank you Guru Dev. Thank you Maharishi Mahesh yogi. Thank you all Saints, seers, wise ones, St. Teresa of Avila, Jesus, Mary Magdalene, Saint Gemma, Mother Mary, Spirit Guides, Archangel Michael, meditating Saints, my meditating parents, Amrita and Ajayan, my younger Sister, Sudha, and last but not least myself and a big pat on my back for how far I've come thanks to Amma and my wise Mother, Amrita.🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🙏🙏🙏🙏🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀💫🪶✨🎄🐬🎆💕🌹💞🕊️🌈👍👍👍🐋

I heard this raga 15 years ago and did not like it. Now I accidentally put it on and I am amazed that I appreciate it a lot!
The nature of the morning revealing itself in this music. 💗

I like it before bed, and while I do my asanas & pranayama, before meditation. Never big on Sama Veda, but really enjoy this stuff.

you can find a good explanation with the following link: www.mapi.com/ayurvedic-knowledge/books-and-music/maharishi-gandharva-veda-music.html

+elisabet s in the ancient reality it is much more flexible: the performer is enlightened and therefor instinctively plays the most positive for whatever time of day it is. When institutions took over the knowledge unenlightened teachers created artificial formulae which constrain the gandharva and of course don't take into account who is listening, which is something that comes naturally to a fully enlightened performer

@@johnlawrence2757 Yes, once during a sacred ceremony, while continually raking the fingernails across a native drum and steadily/spontaneously moaning and laughing from a deep place within....the Brahman consciousness noticed its all-pervading presence. With that guttural and low laugh, (something like: ah, haaa, aah, haaa ha...and on and on)...the Sacred Knowingness awoke to its all-pervading nature. It was a spontaneous Self-revelation. There was a falling away of ego-identity. All-pervading Consciousness knew it is all that is.
