I remember the original toy of this from the 80s (I see it actually launched late 70s). The odd layout with exposed passengers was because it was designed to let you slide six Star Wars figures into the side pockets - or rather it was designed to make you (nag your parents to) buy more stormtroopers!
I was blown away by the open space in the vehicles. LEGO Star Wars makes vehicles that fit the visual over anything which is fine, but I would love to make a spaceship (based on a SW set) which is roomy in the inside. This build looks so great. I came here because I have the Armored Marauder 75311 set in the mail for this very purpose. I won't be able to mod it to this degree but it should serve me well for a single person's spaceship with various sections in it. Maybe a rear cargo room and center computer room or resting room. The with of this mod in this video is amazing.
I can’t wait for them to release an MTT model too. I imagine there are many good models, but not good enough, and they’re just waiting for the perfect one!
Yeah but for sure the second one was the best one so far, i just imagine one really accurate and scaled perfectly, god damn can't wait for these guys to find it
Excellent rendition of the Imperial troop transports. This MOC is not only realistically designed and highly functional but also has good playability with that sturdy build. I love the smart use of those single hollow stud pieces (3:10) for the floor plates, which gives a balance between a smoother clean look while providing positions for mini-figurines to adhere to. The only suggestion I have is to replace the twin guns on each of the "wings" of the Trexler Marauder with a spring-loaded missile instead; then it will be UCS perfection.
It would be nice to see some of the more interesting vehicles from the original Star Wars that no one ever does. Like Jabba’s Sail Barge with Desert Skiffs. The Sandcrawler or Skyhopper were pleasant surprises, more stuff like that. At least some prequel vehicles then, like the Bango Submarine or the Naboo Royal Starship.
@@jamescassidy7028 so when u buy it, you get a parts list and instructions that’s it, you need to get parts off LEGO and bricklink, it will be around $200 total if not a bit more
I would love to see you guys make some stuff from MCU. The Guardians’ Milano, Valkyrie’s gunship, or the Grandmaster’s party ship. But also, I love when you guys crank out Star Wars stuff; make a TIE/br, TIE/v1, or the quad jumper from TFA
@@BrickVault of course. It's spiffy though. I just wish that this kind of technology still existed by the time of the Sequel Trilogy along with other fan-favorites from the Original Trilogy.
I find it always strange how the Star Wars designers keep designing war-vehicles where the personnels are exposed to enemy fire outside from the vehicles, instead of keeping them inside and protected (at least until they are deployed, of course.)
its not really strange, we only have fully enclosed vehicles due to NBC protection, something that individual trooper armour already has in star wars, and is something our own armies now consider less of a threat and thus more and more open-topped vehicles are in use (mostly in artillery)
Not really that is kind of reflective of real troop transport. What makes it odd is how they are used in the movies being basically glorified tanks filled with people.
These look fantastic! As far as suggestions or anything like that, I would LOVE to see a UCS scale Nebulon B and maybe even a play scale Hammerhead Corvette.
I just finished your guys custom ucs shuttle and that build is amazing! 😯😃Everyone's face when I show them how the wings fold out on their own. I think im going to build these two next. They look great.👍
A very cool model but could we get more doom stuff in the future, there are many models of mechs, demons, and locations that would look amazing from you guys!
These are fantastic models!! Really like the design and effort put into it. That being said i kinda do like the og star wars rebels variant. Thats just my opinion. Other than that great model.
These builds are awesome, ive always wanted to build a good ground transport for my rebels moc if i ever decide to build one and now i found the perfect build^^
Hey guys, love your channel! Are you guys ever going to go in the front of the camera again? In your old studio, you used to show what you guys were building as well as your displays, etc. Then you guys moved after building Yavin IV and we haven’t gotten an update since? Just wondering. Thanks for your content. Love your videos.
Thanks :) I think we will yeah, at the moment our space is pretty small again, with lots of storage. We are looking to do some expanding again, but it'll still be several months until we have an area cool enough to show on the regular.
I really wish I can afford these mocs. There are some I’m really hoping to put together one day (once I’m done with school, 2 more years) especially the ghost. I really wanna accept that I’m a psychopath and go with your large scale ghost moc lol
The bought the instructions for the play scale ghost but when I upload the part list to bricklink for the actual ghost there is an error for “no 40344” and “no 40345” can u please tell me how to fix??
Those models are amazing! But there is a small inaccuracy, the transport in the show has an armored glass windshield. We can barely see it, but there is definitly one. As for the version that smashes the landspeeder, i can only guess the windshield was removed for replacement or something.
I don't think that's an inaccuracy with the MOC, I think it's just easier to imply the existence of the windshield with curves and slopes as it would be hard to incorporate transparent parts.
