I went to a Ne Obliviscaris concert last year, wherein they opened for Wintersun. I'd never heard of Wintersun before and sadly only got to see the first part of their performance. Now I'm hooked... wish I was able to stick around for the full show! I won't miss the next one! Great videos, guys.

Just wanted to say thank you. I had discovered Wintersun years ago on youtube but couldnt find any of their stuff outside of youtube so i put it on the back burner and forgot about it. You guys kept on talking about them and i wondered if it was the same band i had heard years before and when i checked your reaction here it confirmed it indeed was. Thanks for reminding me about this band and now i finally was able to get my hands on their albums.

Kai Hahto is one of the best metal drummers ever. He used to play in a damn good grindcore band called Rotten Sound (You should check their album 'Exit'). Now he plays in Wintersun and in Swallow The Sun (he likes those suns). He also plays in Nightwish temporarily now, since their original drummer can't play at the moment due to health reasons.

The drummer and bassist are now in Nightwish, the other guitarist in Megadeath. Wintersun is quite a hotbed of stars.
The beginning of Wintersun....day. It's nice to go back through the videos every now and then and just find gems like this one and listen again to the talent and skill of the musicians.

Best drummer from Finland -Kai hahto. 2 of the best guitarists from TOP5 in Finland -Teemu Mäntysaari and Jari Mäenpää (singer too). And one of the best metal composers -Also Jari.

*The curiosity: the chorus was made by a lot of Finnish metals band, like Tÿr, Turisas, Ensiferum. Finland is so powerful that hurts* PERKELE! EPIC This is exactly what Jari, the main vocal and leader band says: "I want my albums to be EPIC, then I'll release them" And that's how we waited 8 years for his album xD
Thanks to my dad I discovered rock n roll and metal music. When I'm listening Wintersun, I still have the feeling of being proud to be a metalhead \m/ :)

I was at their concert yesterday, you have to see them live if you get the chance. I love their music on record, but live the atmosphere is absolutely insane. Tribulation and Arch Enemy were great as well.

Whenever you have a chance, go and see these guys live. Saw them for the first time last year and it was unbelievable, even if I didn't know any of the songs beforehand. With their musicianship and well-handled live sound the flux of energy was simply orgastic.
