I play for Uwf and I am #80 on offense. Appreciate this upload this was magical year and season, and even though we are division II school it still feel unreal. I’m glad that if I ever want to remember this game I can come back and watch it here.

@@jollyomeatLA It's about funding,not talent actually. Some D2 schools even beat some D1 teams. Typically the top D2 teams vs the lower/decent D1 teams though. It's happens each year. Once a school gets more money and students,they move up to D1.
@@elitrey7209 I know all about college football especially the difference between FBS and FCS even down to the conference rankings. So I definitely know all about it.

The Crusader D2 players aren’t “less talented” there are tons of d2 players in the NFL

Austin Reed is the Truth!!!!! And Minnesota State held strong especially after two red zone turnovers. Haven't seen them pass that much in a game this whole season. Zylestra should be playing on Sunday next year
These guys are looking better than alot of FBS teams offensively.
Reed was the trigger in this game, but the Argo receivers were the lynchpin during the playoff run. Letio, Ashley, Grant, and Coates either started or played major minutes in the 2017 championship loss to Commerce, and Randolph (#29) was mostly a back-up. All were recruited as true freshmen. Also, four of the five linemen from 2017 also started in 2019. The defense definitely had it's moments in 2019, but that offense was championship ready.
Full credit to M State for not giving up on the game when they were down big. Good game!
Well I am a MSU fan and they had a wonderful season. Austin Reed won this game for WF, he was a gunslinger. One thing I noticed though in these highlights, though he gets rid of it quickly he had incredible protection. He rarely looked to be in danger of getting sacked. The Mavericks did make some good adjustments and did outplay WF for the most part the second half, but the deficit was too great and 3 costly turnovers by the normally reliable Nate Gunn killed MSU.....not to mention the dropped punt return. Obviously, Florida has some fantastic talent in the state to be this good in just 3 years as a program.
West Florida's unis are so damn clean to me.

If you want dirty UWF uniforms, lol type in UWF vs Ava Maria. That was the first game of the UWF program. I was at that game. UWF traveled 630 miles to Naples to face a NAIA team and destroyed AMU 45-0. All the UWF uniforms except the kicker and quarterback were nice and dirty because the field was a swamp after a hour and half thunderstorm during halftime.

UWF probably has a good recruiting model. Not a whole lot of D2/D3 in FLA, so they get all the guys not quite good enough for Miami, UF, FSU, etc and probably all of the guys that get cut from those D1 schools that have a ton of talent.
Also dudes who either got in trouble or academic problems
@@seanwebb2254 Those type of guys would go back to JUCO to reform their careers. D2 pick up guys who didn't get no playing time in either FBS or FCS schools.

Reed throws a nice ball, it would be interesting how well he would fare against a good Division 1 team, with much better DBs, LBs, and DL coming at him with a much higher skill level.
If Minnesota State had Hayden Fox as head coach, and Luther Van Damme as Defensive Coordinator, they would have won this game!
Two very good teams. Quarterback for UWF did not play like a freshman (obviously) and Minnesota state could have won the game if they didn’t have so many mistakes (ball security). Great game though

@@elitrey7209 no, the scholarships is what attracts players. Around 75% give or take of D1 schools (not so much power 5) rely on academic tuition to bail athletics out. Top 25 teams in a lower division are better than a lot of the bottom half of a higher division.

The only difference between d1 and d2 is money
D1 is struggling especially during the virus. If you're not power 5 schools, then you're struggling each year to make a profit which is why so many schools rely on academic tuition to help fund athletics. So 75% of D1 give or take really don't have money like talking about. Scholarships play a bigger role in level of competition.
