This is a piece of history to be preserved.
I Lived in Cov from 88 to 91 in Poly , many times at the Eclipse, the sound system and lasers were some of the best I heard and saw for a club , crisp as and knocked you for 6.
I lived in Cov from 1988 to 1992. good place , great [people and the Eclipse was MENTAL
Clubbing just got real serious for Pete and Michaela

You & me both
Haha ask nicely I'll u borrow mine
#ucking brilliant, happy days that are long gone.
Really makes me sad that these days will never will see the light of day ever again. 😭😵😖😬😨😠
THE BEST DAYS OF MY LIFE , WOULD NOT CHANGE FOR THE WORLD, AND THAT'S A FACT.
Wicked, just loved this and would set my VHS to record it on Saturday night. The Carl Cox set was pure gold just a shame the interviews happened when my favourite tunes were on... let the music do the talking.....
Unfortunately I was too young to attend. But this makes me proud to be a Coventrian ;)
I was in these this night amazing as always 😎👍🕺🔥💊💊💊
Thank you so much for saving this piece of music and social history. What a banging hour of music - Carl Cox, Fantasy and then a set by Altern 8. What a time to be alive!
We go down on a Saturday 5 pm pick up from Halifax have it large then drive back to leeds what a ride
Same as pal , me and friends would steal a car if we had no transportation to get there bad I no but we did wot we did to get to the amazing eclipse 😳
@@BelliAlto4556would you return it, keys in the ignition when you got back?
Worth noting it was probably £20 because Altern8 played live PA, Carl Cox was there and so were the TV crew.
This is absolutely amazing document of life in early 90’s uk 💥
30 years on covid and war fucking happy times in the 80s and 90s. Ecstasy and trips were the problems then charlie now look
So nice to see the eclipse again, many messy nights I had in there, and nice to hear Geoff man Parrish on the mic to, big ups
My friend Glen and I were the House Mice, only released that one white label. Good times. Nice one for the share mate,.
I remember taping this.
awesome sounds of the time
This shows you the end of Waterman understanding the music industry up until this point he had ruled the charts with his productions by the early 90s he had no idea what was going on.
yes he did, he was a huge fan of this music, he probably insisted they go to the eclipse.
@@roberttodd2414 bollocks
@@rorz999 what makes you say that man?
Waterman knew what was going off alright. He had invested in the scene for a start. Track at 16.10 'No Way Out' distributed by PWL Continental for example.
"...up until this point he had -ruled- ruined the charts with his productions..."
have this mix on tape cassette!! Good times :)
Been searching for this for years, used to have on vhs but no one ever uploaded the whole night. Love the first dj baby mo set !!!!!!! Doing it the way you know should .......mc marbles . Love it !!!!!
so its mc marbles?
he was superb
is he om any other vids?

Shame it got too dark when it became The Edge....Best raving years...89-92
89-92 defo, before all the crack dealers took over the club's, so we all went outside, under the stars, and under the laser,
Fukin mental nights at the eclipse
Me and a bus load of Leicester lads would hit the night spot once a moon 🌙 it was 1ov the best joint s around 😎 rewind the 90s PLEASE 🙏
I wonder if carl cox looks back on the early 90s like we all do.
Respect to Coventry
Aphex Twin - powerpill always went down (the throat) just fine
The only episode of this drab show worth watching. Peter Waterman didn't know WTF was going on. Looked like he'd been beamed up! Same for that silly woman. Effing brilliant :D
wicked tunes and video. got all these tunes on record, i intend soon to re-create this mix and upload it to my channel.
first legal rave club to given a license, pete waterman sampled more than just tunes that night . good times back then
Imagine coming home after a night out in 2023 .. they have no clue 🤯🤯🤯🤯
Altern8 went hard
cheers
DJ TWIN ON TOUR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ,, TWIN(E) XXX
👌💊💊💊💊💊💊💊❤❤❤
LOL....'A DJ called Carl Cox, wonder what ever happened to him'. Think it was that night Pete realised he had lost the kids music and decided to go play with his trainsets
To be fair, he'd made his millions by then, fair play to him.
Bet most folk like me trying to Shazam a lot of these tunes but to no avail. My fave on this all though all good starts 18.10 sounds like major k or something by roofa T !
Spen Cross.... The tune before he talks to DJ Fantasy?? Thats '3V - Kollision'
No shazam in my day....we had to hunt the black crack every spare hour we had .... Ive got the complete tracklist for this night

Couldn't believe how oblivious Michaela was to the fact most people there take drugs instead of drinking alcohol.
I was at this
On two purple ohms
A dove
And g of speed
Then drove to frankley services for a hot chocolate
How the fuck did the mg metro make it 😂
Where was u from ? We used to go back to Frankley services.
1st mc is just anaxing

Top video can anybody put up a playlist
Terrorize - Its Just A Feeling on hamster records. hope it helps you out
RIP Shaun Imrei
Shaun imrie halifax stock , Hanson lane ,,knew him well 1980,s Pete monsoon civic nights halifax had it
They were a bit more positive here than when they went to the Hacienda. I guess the writing was on the wall by then and it was clear acid house & rave culture had taken over.
Hi, what's the tune dropped at 0.21 please?
@@ak47e Thank you!😊
So fucking loud! I bet Pete could not here his trains after this
pete get a pill 💊 down ya son. haha
Can any one id the track at 530 its only a few seconds straight from the ad break the track before compression
It's Pseudo 3 - Flash It
I absolutely hate that MC's became part of rave culture during this period. Shut Up.
Your "for the whi, whi, whistle, whistle posse" is not making the track better.
Nothing you are doing is making anything better.
Why do people like these egomaniac loudmouths? I will never understand.
100 per cent. Not need for mcs. Ruining the music.
If it's CC shouting his head off, that's fine by me.
Were you around then? If you went to raves you'd understand and appreciate the importance of the Hypeman. They provided the vibes and helped keep the energy going. It would be very different without them.
Amen to that brother
I don't mind the hypeman type of mc but when they started with their non stop "lyrics" they pissed me off. It got to the point where the mc's in some people's minds became more important than the music.
pete waterman looks off his box..
Pete Waterman didn't have a clue about the rave scene, less about those chewing their faces off lol
@@theeveshamgamer To be fair to him I think both he and Michaela knew what was going on. It's just that there's no way they could have people saying on TV that they were doing XTC and be seen to encourage drug use, so they were walking a tight line. But that's what makes this outing of The Hit Man And Her so awesome. Here was the real deal; a proper 90s rave with the best DJs.
who was 1st mc?
Anyone know the tune at 33:30 please ?
23lnp ) - House Mice - The Drummer - th-cam.com/video/NnLH-1zDvFg/w-d-xo.html bad tune in it, i got on vinyl.

Anyone know the track at 1:42 please
23lnp sound of eden
By shades of ryhthm
The track at 1:42 definitely isn't Sounds of Eden, but is uses samples from it. The track is The Criminal Minds - Virtual Reality, but it plays after the track at 1:42
@@rayvaughan3197 It's Pseudo 3 - Flash It (one of my fave tracks from that year)
