Seeing a lot of new bands making a revival of the 2000's post-hardcore sound but with a modern vibe makes me really happy. We're witnessing an important event for post-hardcore and i definitely can't wait to see what the 20's has in store for the genre. It's a matter of time til' these bands blow up.
@@6brandnew6 L'exquisite Douleur, If I Die First, Seeyouspacecowboy, Wristmeetrazor... eventually more bands with this kind of vibe will start appearing into the post-hardcore/emo/hardcore scene. Things are starting to get really interesting.
@@S0ul_destr0yer01 I've been following If I Die First for almost a year now and these dudes are getting bigger and bigger. They're going to play on Furnace Fest, not every band has the oportunity to play in a festival like this.
I know I’m a little late to the party, but this was my top song on Spotify for 2023. I discovered this band about 2 months ago. I listened to this song 93 times between September and November, and the rest of their discography is in my top 100 songs. Safe to say, I’m in love
@@mackalrath Ep's and albums aren't really the best way for bands to release music moving forward. Wouldn't be surprised if SD just keep doing singles indefinitely
@@Laikagraphics Well, me personally, I never bought a single once in my life. But I do buy albums and EPs simply because it feels like a full product. But if SD sticks with singles, then I guess I'll have to change my habits because I do want to support them. I did buy a ticket for their livestream, but I want an album too.
I reckon they'll drop an EP with the singles on that they've already released, it's more beneficial for a band to release all the singles then put it together in an EP, that why it'll get more reach and then once it's collated into an EP they'll be able to release physical copies
Usually takes me a few listens before I decide the new song is my favourite - not this time. Called the number - didn't understand a word hahaha. The lore is so hot.
@@SIRiAlerion I have no clue, there was morse code in the background of the phonecall, and something about 5 numbers? I couldn't barely understand what was being said
Love seeing guys like this and seeyouspacecowboy. I rejected the scene I grew up with after finding 90s hardcore and emo bands and entered an obnoxious pretentious phase in my 20s, but now that I’m pushing 30 I’m romanticizing the bands I grew up with again. I miss the days of underoath, Thursday, taking back Sunday, from autumn to ashes, poison the well, he is legend, emery, fuck I could go on and on. It’s cool to see and I hope we see more of it
Godddddd I’m so in love with everything they do. They give me a nostalgic feeling I can’t explain even tho it’s from now. I don’t have words to describe how much I love this. This chorus especially has me HOOKED!!
This just popped up in my recommended. I can’t thank you guys enough for making this. You are truly reviving the early 2000s style that I grew up with. (Underoath etc) Seriously, I cannot state enough how good this is. It’s perfect. Not overdone. It just hits very well.
it took 3 years for this to find me on my recommended. holy fuck am i glad. i missed this fuckin genre so much in this style. its hard to replicate nowadays but this perfectly captures it
at first I couldn't tell if the bands songs were complete garbage or really good yet I can't stop listening to it now I go between the two mostly think its really good right now
In a good way, it’s gotten to the point where even just the song being called “sweet” is something I expect as an on brand thing for these guys. The song is a banger and on point af of course as well
00s vibes, but with magnificent upgrades on the production...the grittiness and organic tones are there, but it's like they slurped the super juice. tight + powerful + polished but not overly-produced or overly-edited like how the genre started veering later in the decade (Joey Sturgis vs Norma Jean style stuff)
as you guys release each song, they are getting better and better. i cannot wait for whatever full length release you guys have coming up. so fucking good, omgg
This band always rips. Straight up bangers 24/7 - I can't wait for the album. Its going to be on repeat everyday. I loved the david lynch vibes within this video as well, also some nice old Thursday as well.
Static dress is by far my favorite post-hardcore band up-to-date. You'd think their music is from 2007-nope! They stand out the must from most new bands attempting to master that 2007 vibe we all love
Love this!

It did in a band called underoath but this vocalist is doin both vocal jobs
I love everything about this band. The songs, the videos, the outfits, the overall aesthetic. Truly amazing stuff.
The underoath vibes they have fascinate me, this band understood absolutely everything
and now they’re going on tour with underoath…insane
The 00's vibes are immaculate!

Underoath vibes here man!!!
a moment suspended in time comes to mind
heavy ones
Word I see that too. Nonetheless, this is the best new band I've heard in a while
I'm seeing them with underoath in like 3 days 😎
Need that static dress/ if I die first/ sysc/ wristmeetrazor tour ASAP!
Bro Wristmeetrazor's new aesthetic for their upcoming album compliments Static Dress's so well, 2 of my most favourite bands in the world.
And then throw in Underoath as the headliner playing either They're Only Chasing Safety or Define The Great Line in full
@Mcillsonn I find they're the modern day version of Underoath so it'd only be fitting to have them on the bill
Check out: greyhaven, boundaries, loathe, chamber, loser, behindcoloredglass, and Renounced if you haven't already

Duuuude i needed this in my life. Those early 2000s Finch/The Used vibes that I missed so much. Thank you! Can't wait to see what you guys do next.
