rws676 Yeah. Even more often than not, they are just becoming Republic/Allied blue in California. Republic Services like to scrap perfectly good trucks a lot.

Here, in York, PA. we still (Republic Waste) have the traditional driver and the 2 man rear loading garbage truck. Are there any plans to convert this area over to automated collection service?
Charles Sweitzer Republic and the industry as a whole favor automated collection wherever possible. I'd say by 2030 traditional manual collection will be very rare if not obsolete.
