Ok - I know there's many Re:NO fans and I don't want to hurt them but even if she's a great singer, she never was a "rock singer" according to me. With a singer like Maki, Aldious would be much more successfull for years - and they deserve it!
Wow. Maki is really an excellent singer with a powerful voice. She performs like she has been in the band for years. She gives back the power the band needs. I really hope she stays.
I really hope they keep Maki Oyama as the new singer. She's been filling in for the 2021 tour, but they better not let her get away. She's a perfect fit. Cross between Re:NO stage presence and Rami vocals. My favorite vocalist out of all of them.
Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Deep Purple just to name a few very famous band that have just done that but i know what you mean: It is a challenge to face for aband.
Sawa is so kawaii. Toki and Sawa have matching fret boards now. Marina is a beast on those drums. Maki is doing a great job filling in on short notice. All in all this is what a top tier metal band sounds like. Great job girls.
Agree - she was a good pick. They seem to have a policy of drawing out the decision (or maybe just announcement) of making someone a permanent member but I bet if she's down, the members are too, already. She really seems a good match for the rest of the band. Like you say, powerful and rich - & a metal attitude.
Ok so, here is the thing. I was sad when Rami left. I was not very happy about Re:NO but when White Crow single was out my jaw just dropped. Then i was sad again when she left, but then came R!N and i was amazed by her voice. She was full force dynamite. ... and then she left too. (I know i know they all have to leave because of the health problems) And here is Maki and ... just look at her, just open your ears. She just put those three under her skirt. What the hell was just that? I mean.... what? Her voice, her persona, her charisma. I knoooow she is not official member but.... please PLEASE!!! Make an album! This is the best combination so far!!! (Yes i will probably bur in hell for this ... or maybe just the Rami, Re:NO or R!N fans will kill me)
That pretty much 100% sums up my exact interpretation - we think alike! - and there are WAY more out there that feel the same as us - and our voices WILL be heard

Personally, I think Maki makes them more generic in the scene. She actually overpowers the music instead of fitting in. Maybe it's the mix but I don't think so. It pushes them in to full power metal territory (ala Lovebites or Galneryus). Yes, I know they are self described "power metal" but Re:NO and to a lesser degree R!N kept them from fully crossing that audible line in the sand. Maki dives head first over the line claims victory. Full disclosure, I don't care for power metal, especially in large quantities so there is a bias on my part. :)
love this version! Maki belongs as the lead vocalist for Aldious! Feels so strong here with her vocals and seems to infuse the band again on stage. I really hope she ends up in front of Aldious for many years and decades to come! Thank you for persevering and refusing to give up Aldious, love you, keep on rocking!

well, this is fantastic. Ever Since(slight pun intended) around 3yrs ago when i fell down the rabbit hole. Baby Metal, Aldious and Band-Maid were the first 3 i discovered. This Song "we are" was the first Aldious song. (with Nikaido Rino on vocals) I have expanded my collection to include all 3 eras of Aldious (RAMI-Re:NO-R!N) Loving seeing Maki with this group. I hope she becomes a permanent member.
Almost exactly the same thing happened to me, I started with band Maid (still my #1) but good God Japan! Gacharic Spin, Scandal, Fate Gear, Bridear, trident, I mean the list goes on and on. So many excellent bands. I think Aldious deserves to be high up on that list, as pioneers of female rock in Japan and fantastic entertainers, I was stoked to see R!n with the band but it looks like Maki can take Aldious to a whole new level.
@@FranciscoDuarte yes, so many wonderful bands coming out of Japan. On Apple Music i have around 140 unique bands and around 450 albums. Lets not forget Captain Mina and her kick ass girl band factory - Destrose- So many bands have spawned from that seed. Two left now but 4 of the 5 original Destrose became Marys Blood. Check the Destrose song Fenixx (full version) In that you will find Mina (now Fate Gear), Miho and Haruna (now Lovebites) Marina (now Mardelas) and Hanako (now Octaviagrace) A few off the grid bands i am liking are Rondonrats (love vocalist Mamiko) - Cantoy is another, Glim Spanky. Exist Trace. FliP. Just to name a few. But SCANDAL is in my top ten band list. Band-Maid. Lovebites. Aldious as well.

Aldious has had a few vocalists on and off but Maki is such a great fit. what a powerful voice. I Discovered her a few months ago from a Rie a.k.a Suzaku set and i'm starting to get hooked (on both of them lol). I hope Aldious comes to play in the US one day. much love from Chicago.
It's a shame that R!N couldn't continue, she was a really promising singer. Maki is very different from any of the previous singers, but she sounds great ... too bad she's only a guest singer, this band really begs for some stability. Special mention for Marina ... brutal and ruthless precision.😲❤💙❤

I miss Re;No.but Maki is an excellent replacement. Still Re'No was such a personality on stage especially with that long beautiful blonde hair. The band still kicks ass though.

Few bands can survive changing their lead singer. These ladies did. Maki sounds great and adds a new dimension with her powerful beautiful voice.
Aldious singers have all left due to medical reasons, not sure what other commitments Maki has, but wouldn't object to her doing the job full time.

It's not just her vocals. The entire band is in synch now. They were kind of a mess live but that was flawless. They're fantastic now.
