Why can't we have bells like this in America?! I've been mystified by hosanna since I was about ten, and I saw your first video. One day I'll visit Buckfast abbey and hear it for myself! (i wish the audio quality were better though, but the video looks fantastic!)
If you get the chance to come over for a visit please contact me well in advance to arrange a meeting with Hosanna. Ringing is limited and although quite frequent now it is not regular. The audio on "Buckfast Abbey - with solo by Hosanna" is a great improvement on this.

Well one thing for sure, Hosanna ringers higher than any other Bourdon I. The UK. Great Paul which sadly doesn't ring any more couldn't be rung that high due to the position in the tower. Got to see it rung manually in 1963 and made a TH-cam video in 2000 but it was electrically tolled. Sad to thing Great George of Liverpool is hung dead. The Olympic bell now that should be swung
Can someone tell me why there is in England some pattern that in bigger Anglican churches and cathedrals tenor bell and bourdon bell are always 5 tones apart? For example. Here tenoe bell is c' and bourdon bell is f°. In York tenor bell is b° and bourdon bell is es°, London same as York. Liverpool tenor is as° and bourdon is des°. Why?
I would like that this next Sunday all the church bells ring out before service and they'd be saying "COME AND HEAR THE GOSPEL STORY BECAUSE IT MAY BE ONE OF THE LAST TIMES THAT YOU CAN."
That's Boniface. He's in B. Bernard, next to him top left, is in Bb so we use him instead when we ring the 6 (or 8) in F to give a Major scale. Stupidly I've credited Boniface and not Bernard. Sorry Bernard.
