Yes i have already started the project i have 10 goats 7 females and 3 males i started with 3 last year in March i hope to grow the project to 100 goats. i have enough land where i can graze them from only that as of now i need money to construct the pen. Currently they are tied on ropes
This is a good initiative. I have one suggestion. To be able to have a clean pen, the pen should be raised up above the ground. After they ease themselves it will drop under the pen. You can enter under the pen and sweep time to time. Moreover when it rains erosion may occur due to the sloppy nature of the land.
I think we can do something in the future together, Am into Agriculture, and Still learning Everything about Agriculture in Germany. Crop,Animal, their feeding and care. Especially Cows and pigs. Will advice to put a metal security at the wall side to break in of theifs
I don't think this is the best at all, as is prone for snakes and so many other animals. It would be best to raise a low concrete wall about 60-70 cm and then you could finish with the wood
The video didn’t say this is the ideal goat pen however I recognize that not all farmers can start from a raised goat pen so should that stop them from goat farming? Most beginners start with this kind of goat pen before scaling up to the ideal goat pen. Also your suggestion of a low concrete all of 70cm doesn’t address your challenge of snakes at all as snakes can easily climb a 70cm wall
Afuom, ayekoo. Hmm, m'ate sɛ amanfoɔ wia mpɔnkye rough. How do you plan to keep the goats from thieves? I had a land I wanted to rear goats on but I was discouraged because I was told boys boys are very good with snatching them even before the first mbɛɛ🐐. Is there a recommended source I can buy healthy goats to start with? I'm in the Central Region. Thanks. NB: Arable = (of land) used or suitable for growing crops. Ventilated = Cause air to enter and circulate freely in (a room, building, etc.).
Thank you I've been trying to figure out how to make my pen it's the same size as this the foundation just got finished digging and so now I saw this which is perfect for my goat's thank you so much. Now I can sleep
Thank you very much for the great job done. I wish I can subscribe to your channel a million time, trust me I would have for it's one of the best out there. Pls what is the size of the land this project is on and is it going to be zero grazing or free range farm? Also what kind of goat are you u planning to stock on the farm. Is it out local goat or foreign? Thank you.
The land size is about 2 acres. We are planning a semi intensive system. We will stock Sahel breed though there are already some local breed on the farm but we will fade them out with time

👍🙏
well said, raise atleast 4 feet, make no mistake.
Great tip
As long as you clean daily!!!
Not always the case,,a raised one is costly to build!! All you need is to observe cleanliness
