I have made this walk, or many like it, at all times of year in Québec. When I lived in Connecticut, I drove up there probably 30-40 times. It was love at first site, and my adoration of that city has never faded.
Quebec Provence is a hidden treasure, so many Americans in the Northeast don't even give it a second thought, I absolutely love Montreal and we're going to QC this summer for the first time and can't wait!!!

It is September 4, 2024. I am in the US Northeast. It is a beautiful late summer day - brilliant sunshine, clear blue skies, calm, dry, comfortable, warm; I am on my second floor porch in the trees… gorgeous day. When I opened TH-cam, this was recommended. I watched it while I ate breakfast. Sublime. Exquisite. Beautiful. Our Holiday Season starts with Thanksgiving in late November and runs through early January. I have added this fab bit of Christmas Glory to my TH-cam Christmas playlist. My wife & I took a tour of Toronto, Montreal, & Quebec City in the summer of 2016. I found Quebec City to be the most charming, lovely, old world European-like city in North America. Simply beautiful. And we stayed at Le Chateau du Frontenac. Of course the magic of a snowy Christmas season evening enhances the beauty tenfold. I was slightly taken back at the last 8 minutes of the walking tour. Our tour guide seems to have taken us to the "poor" side of Quebec City with graffitied walls, trash, and discarded furniture on the very narrow sidewalks. Somewhat bursted my bubble. I could've done without seeing that. Peace and prosperity to all!
So sorry your parochial requirements were not meant. Quebec City is an actual cosmopolitan city, perhaps you will be more comfortable in the corporitized and sub-urbanized 'cities' in the USA.

I'm a European in Canada, Alberta... Croatian/Croat to be specific. This Christmas market and buildings give you feel like you are in Europe! Here in Alberta we don't have anything close to this! Greetings to Quebec city! Keep it so beautiful and warm like your French ancestors did for centuries!
I imagine if you grew up here and then had to move away, that it would be hard to to not miss it at Christmas time. I've never seen anything like this in the US (where I'm from) and it makes me want to learn French and move there. Count yourselves lucky if this is your hometown.

I hate passing by the bridge in front of the courthouse because of the white birch factory. Also, the particles in the air, I just don't like cities. I wouldn't be able to live in Montreal

The setting and atmosphere with snow, christmas decorations, old Victorian buildings and alleyways reminds me of A Christmas Carol 2009. Peaceful and calm. Would love to spend one christmas vacation here one day, even though I have plenty of snow in Norway.

I currently live in Tampa Florida but more than anything I miss a nice walk at night in a snowfall and this video particularly is amazing because it’s in the city with the European environment with the uphill and downhill streets .it’s just such a romantic scene and I spend the whole hour watching it. It was just soothing to my mind I thank you for that great effort.
May 2020 I walked around all these areas alone in the evening with the red skies during sunset. Quite a different feeling. There wasnt anyone around except the occasional instagram model

I live at the left of Notre-Dame-des-Victoires church that you see at the beginning of the video. Contrary to what one might think, it's a very quiet place, and very enjoyable during the night in wintertime, when it's snowing. By the way, it's a great idea to install microphones on your boots!!! Lolll!!!
Very thorough, even finally passes by the vacation rental where we stayed the summer of that year so I get to see the place in the snow. Pretty sure the sidewalks would have me terrified of slips and falls the entire time.

I live in Quebec city since 2008 and i don't plan to move out of my magnificent hometown. French is my first language.
I live in Quebec, but I come from a mining city in the north of Quebec. You learn to not get attached to places.

I live at the left of Notre-Dame-des-Victoires church that you see at the beginning of the video. Contrary to what one might think, it's a very quiet place, and very enjoyable during the night in wintertime, when it's snowing. By the way, it's a great idea to install microphones on your boots!!! Lolll!!!
So glad I found this video. I really, really wanted to go to Quebec City this year at Christmas time. I'm so sad that I can't.
Very thorough, even finally passes by the vacation rental where we stayed the summer of that year so I get to see the place in the snow. Pretty sure the sidewalks would have me terrified of slips and falls the entire time.
So many decorations ! It looks like a Disney cartoon movie, except this is real. Congratulation by doing this video because who knows how these streets will be in december of this year ? Maybe not so beautifully animated...
