The best preparation for a street fight is probably extensive military training in hand to hand combat. They train directly for live or death situations.

Greco you can't touch opponents legs, not use your own legs for trips etc.
There is more to it, but this is a start.
What is allowed in Greco is allowed in freestyle plus use of legs.
