@@DominionCards i would suggest filming a set of short videos that explain just what the cards do. then if people want more they can watch the longer video. there’s no other videos like that on youtube currently. i just don’t understand why the discard? i scratched my head for hours wondering how discarding could possibly benefit the player and now i’m thinking maybe it’s intentionally supposed to hurt the player? like a trade off for the benefit you get? which seems really strange because no other cards do that
Yes the discarding is typically a negative effect on the player for Poacher. Sometimes you can make it beneficial in conjunction with some other cards, like Sentry or Library, but in the typical scenario Poacher is a card that gets worse as piles empty.
If you wanna know what it is just read the card, if you wanna know the big picture of what it represents in an engine you’d need a good vid. I never liked watchtower until his vid on that one.
