    You need to be accurate with your language. The THB 600k is a FEE for obtaining the Thai Elite Visa. It goes straight to the government just like other Visa fees. It's not an investment in anything.

    • @duongglobalbusinessconsulting
      @duongglobalbusinessconsulting  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your comment. It is an investment into obtaining a Thai Elite Visa. As a kindly reminder, an investment is action or process of investing money for profit OR material result. For instance, "he invested in a brand new computer". Hope it helps.

    • @billybob7522
      @billybob7522 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@duongglobalbusinessconsulting I disagree. You are over stretching the word to apply to the elite visa to justifying the high cost. To use your definition, I would still have the computer after 5 years BUT the elite visa will have expired.

    • @duongglobalbusinessconsulting

    Why pay $20k for a temporary visa? No thanks. Private airport ride and lounge? Sounds too good to be true. I have a friend who lives there longterm and crosses border to nearby country when visa expires. Comes back and renews it again. This is a lot cheaper. If you can work remote, you’ll get paid more money in USD than in baht. Id wait to see if Thai government becomes pro-democracy. These rules may change.

    • @duongglobalbusinessconsulting
      @duongglobalbusinessconsulting  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Since the pandemic, visa runs are not feasible. You can't cross the border and come back. Moreover, there is a limit on entry to Thailand under tourist visa exemption. You can't do more than four border runs in a row, as the immigration will no longer consider you as a tourist. We hope our explanation clears things up, as your original comment contains erroneous information.

      Certain types of Elite Visa holders who make the requisite real estate investment may be able to get the work permit. Thanks for your comment. We like constructive discussions on this channel. Thailand is quite welcoming. When discussing visa programs, it is also worth comparing them to other countries. For instance, it is uneasy for foreign citizens to live in the United States. The U.S. does not offer a retirement visa and investment programs start around $200,000 if accepted with the E-2 visa. In other words, it is far more difficult for foreign investors and retirees to live longterm in the U.S. than in Thailand. Not to mention that living in another country is a privilege, not a right, given that all nations are sovereign.
