I LOVE that you're not afraid to get in there and get messy/dirty for your babies! Hats off to you guys! You and LE are doing an AMAZING job with the sanctuary!!!! Don't ever let anyone rain their negativity on you or bring you down! You guys are AWESOME!!! 🥰❤️🤗 Keep up the GREAT work!!!
I remember the first video you were in with LE. You were amazing then and still are today. You've jumped into running the sanctuary whole heartedly and are doing a wonderful job!
Hey Megan. Something else that helped because of the rain is all the babies were in the barn and you didn’t have to fight them while you were cleaning. You’re doing a great job. I’m so proud and happy for you.
If you've been feeding them Alfalfa Lester always said you could only give it to the goats every other day or so because it's so rich. Just a thought! ❤
I can only imagine the number of outfits y’all go through in a day. The laundry must never end 🤪😂😂 you’re doing a great job keeping things clean for the babies!!
🐐🐐🐐🐑🐐🐐🐐 Megan Bless your heart! I know after working so hard at sanitizing and cleaning.. that was like a big blow with them having the scours! But thank God it wasn't parasites. It was just another learning curve about the alfalfa hay. It is a very rich hay so as you have found out it has to be given sparingly in between they're normal hay which I'm sure you know this now. Gosh there is just so many things to learn and so many lessons to learn. But as I always said back when I was a breeder of Californian Show Rabbits... and had people from all over Texas coming to get rabbits from me, I would tell them that is what makes it so interesting was that you literally learn something new every single day about them. I was still saying that even after 10 years of raising them. So keep your head up and try not to get too discouraged and chalk it up to another lesson learned. Even when you loose an animal... its so hard not to blame yourself, but your not God as some people want to hold you to that standard.. but no your not... you just do the best you can and learn more and more everyday. Just remind yourself every lesson learned has put more Knowledge into your Brain so you can give them the best life possible while loving and caring for them. Keep up the wonderful job your doing!❤
Yes a farms work never stops! You guys are amazing it's a lot of work people don't really realize what all.yiu do. Cleaning and feeding is a everyday job itself. !
Hi Megan. The place is looking great. Alfalfa is something that you need to increase slowly. It's about 1 flake for 3 to 4 goats. My horse got into rabbit feed (alfalfa pellets) one time, and it was a major mess. Especially since I wasn't feeding alfalfa hay at the time. Yuck. Lol
I just googled this go away green - love the concept! Glad the goats only have an upset stomach and not the other thing. Sorry, I can't even think of how to possibly spell it.
Surprisingly you weren't harassed much during the cleaning lol, I did see Lulu come investigate after the fact 🤣 of course Chia was nearby too. I always get a giggle at that view because I can see the duct tape on the tree that Lester put up a few years ago when Ima was eating the tree. He said he would help it and it still stands!! Great job with the deep clean. Do you ever feel "caught up?" Probably not because the farm work is never ending and we only see snippets! Cute shirt. You could do a video of all your cute t-shirts 🤣♥️👕 I love dragging too (well watching) I find it therapeutic. That was cute to see Hero using the ISS cross/brush.
Megan you are so amazing with these animals and so careful to make sure what happened to Okie and Ernie never happens again. But in the process of all you are doing, you are actually over doing. I’d like to offer some suggestion if you don’t mind. First, bleach. B,each will kill germs but instead of dumping the bottle the way you do, put it in a spray bottle and spray the area you want to clean. Wear gloves because bleach I so hard on your hands and can do a lot of damage to your skin. Also, the bleach may be causing the scours. They may be inhaling too much bleach. You may be inhaling too much bleach. So consider a spray bottle and gloves. I also want to tell you what happened to Ernie and Okie was not your fault. You did the best you could for them. It was a hard lesson everybody had to learn. I love you and LE and you have a real gift with the animals. - Sue Sweeten in AZ 2:35
I’m wondering something that just came to me. You know how Lester and Jami are fixing to pour concrete to help with keeping the feeders clean and the area? What about setting the feeders of y’all’s on the concrete where you are cleaning? Idk. Just a thought. ❤😊
Question: what and how are you gonna do all that this winter? I realize TX doesn't generally get super cold but it does get a little chilly, chilly enough to not want to play in the water. Maybe it will get cold enough to kill off all(most) of the nasty parasites. ☆“An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” ☆ ♡ Do the goats have a salt/mineral block and do you provide free choice minerals? You could also hang a small feed trough in the barn that has free-choice baking soda in it for when they have an upset stomach they will go to eat that. ●◇Baking soda can be a useful addition to your goat’s diet. It can aid in digestion issues and help to prevent bloat, a sometimes deadly condition caused by overeating or eating the wrong food.◇●
Megan, if you're giving them Alfalfa hay, and they're not used to it, that could be the problem. Too much Alfalfa hay will cause Scours in most animals. Just a thought.....Put regular hay in those feeders and see if the Scours go away....Good luck..
Morning Meg my niece names is Megan❤maybe get a spray nozzle fit end of your hose that spray harder and really gets the stuck on stuff off better how's that sweet tiny piglet doing she's so precious, your a working machine lol
Hey Yall! I have a question.. When you are using the water to wash thinngs down, wouldnt a power washer help the job go faster? We use one to clean siding, driveway and the walkways and we can put in our algea cleaner in tank and use far less water than when we used hose. Might be an option for you??😊
Great job! Maybe some protective gloves if you are going to spend that long and frequently working with bleach? It can be super rough on your skin. Just an idea ❤❤❤❤❤❤😊
It is so nice that you are getting the feathered friends under control. I would however be careful of all the bleach you are using. You know that no matter how much clean water you give animals they just seem to want to drink out of puddles. I’m sure bleach water can not be good for them. Maybe why the diarrhea ????? Just enough to upset bellies ????? I know damned if you do damned if you don’t ☹️☹️☹️
Megan, you and Lester are both wondering why things are happening right now. Lester wondered if God was punishing him for talking about the standards you all have to live up to because you are a sanctuary. You and LE are doing a great job taking care of your babies and cutting back on some of the fowl that polute your pond and water troughs.

Hay for goats less often, every other day. Understandable after pericites scare.

Great job Megan. You also look happy and well.
It’s a farm for heavens sake. Things are going to get dirty. You and LE do a great job.
You are a hard working woman for sure ❤❤❤😊
The scratching pole near the pound. LHL and JL need that to. Goats, pigg’s, alpaca, etc. Longhorns want that to?? ( they have real trees)
It was nice of LE to come out to help move the hay carts. He is good at talking and videoing Megan.
I just googled this go away green - love the concept!

You guys are doing a great job of cleaning.....
Megan, instead of alfalfa hay, you can cut the string on the hay role ANF pitch fork a couple of wheelbarrow s of that hay, and use it in the feeders.

❤Good cleaning video!!!!
0:00 0:0So happy your video finally posted..it was great seeing you last night with Maziey Moo.
Magen have you thought of putting the bleach in a spray bottle
Order you a firemans nozzle from QVC it attaches to you hose and makes it really strong to spray things off!

Hi 👋 Sweet Megan 🫶🏻
Hello Megan
I think thy are thi kingabout when all the chickens roosted there it used to be bad you an LE have moved them a long time ago
Hello ❤
Hey megan
Megan, you and Lester are both wondering why things are happening right now. Lester wondered if God was punishing him for talking about the standards you all have to live up to because you are a sanctuary. You and LE are doing a great job taking care of your babies and cutting back on some of the fowl that polute your pond and water troughs.
