4 dots: Back Door Panopticon.... In my early days of D&D, a DM created many random tables. If you get creative and develop these in depth, you will alleviate your headaches. He had random encounter tables. Random personal traps, i.e. a loose end pops up, door to door salesman, etc. Just keep it in mind as part of your world building. The more you prepare for the players going off track, the easier the flow of the game and honestly the more fun we had. MERPs had massive tables for each type of attack including successes and failures. When you fail horribly on charging with a lance, you pole vault out of the saddle. When you got a huge success with a lightning bolt, it literally says "use a spatula on the remains". This advice is for all GMs. No prep gets you a cookie cutter game with less nuance and lots of headaches for the GM. 😉

Very good suggestions. I love me some tables.

    My Malkavian uses this.
She specifically has #3 of this Loresheet.
She is an Ambrusite; and when not simply just playing games and dropping conspiracy intel on their private Discord, will move data for Maropis via dead-drops and data sticks throughout the Mississippi region.
Funny part is, most of the time it's just a Storyteller McGuffin to pass intel to our Coterie, which makes it easier for them.
Or she (the character) plays online games with their Discord community, because most of them are melancholic introverted nerds.
The only way I'd ever pick #4 of this loresheet is if I was the one responsible for compiling and taking notes of all the data we got.
That's too much work on a Storyteller.

I would work with a player to make that a thing. That's just good storytelling.

Adding Ambrus into a novel or game would be so freaking easy. You simply never meet meet or see him. You get an email. Perhaps you get a voice mail on your cell, or even an AI animated spokesman who delivers a video message. A courier delivers a USB stick. Perhaps he hits you with an offer to provide needed information out of the blue. How did he even know that you were interested? What does he want in exchange?

Ambrus does just scream "Mentor NPC" in a video game.
