Her holographic projection basically has 1 HP
As much as I like her gimmick, I feel like that talent will become a problem sooner than later.
That's how her gadget works in R6
@@Zack_Zander Definitely possible, as well as her skills work with it and as nice as the gimmick is, you have much less control over when that switch to the Substitute happens since the hologram can only take a single hit before switching, meaning ranged enemies could trigger s1 at a bad time, for example. Working around this gimmick won't be so easy, but it could definitely be fun.
Think of her hologram as shield
I feel like shes just a single target ambusher
Stealth Enemy: Noone can kill me!
Iana: G E K O L O N I S E E R D !
Stealth Enemy: 😳 *invisibility disabled*
She has inverse mechanics. And fucking huge range.
I was surprised about the diamond shaped range. Really gives her more ground to work with.
@@fadingspace7103 diamond? I thought it was a Plus like Saga
@@Pramit2000 No. She has the base range of all doll keeper substitutes(The the roles are reversed here) and four more tiles of range in each direction.
@@fadingspace7103 need to check Arknights Toolbox for this I think
Damn her doll form range is quite massive
What does it cost is her hologram is 1 hp
as they said, size doesnt matter...
Her play style suitly as substitute, and i very concerned to get, he may get top 1 as 5 star substitute after kaze
*she
Kaze?😂 Seriously?
@@yoshitsuneminamoto6096
“5 star substitute”
Only other one is Bena, while Verdant is a 4 star and Specter is a 6 star.
I feel all ground unit r6s units should be able to hit Aerial units but that might just be too op since tachanka is able to hit aerial units but idk if blitz can
i think he can. He has same archetype as liskarm.
Liskarm can attack aerial unit. i think it might work with blitz too
Blitz can, also Fuze
So to break it down:
Talent: Swaps hologram for a substitute for 20 seconds when said hologram is attacked *once* by an enemy. Single-target stealth removal and Fragile effect for more damage.
S1: AFK skill. You *want* Iana’s hologram to be hit. Good AoE Physical nuker skill (much stronger damage than Projekt Red S2, trust me) combined with Fragile debuff from Talent. Nothing much except damage.
S2: You *don’t* want Iana’s hologram to be hit, otherwise you can’t activate her skill for 20 seconds due to her Talent; suddenly, 8 SP practically becomes >28. That’s why Mr. Gotcha used the Tactician summons to bait ranged attacks. Otherwise, great ASPD boost to kill mobs of low-DEF enemies whilst stealing invisibility from them; really big attack range too.
Quick Edit: After seeing MineMoon’s video showcasing Ela’s S3M3, I think Iana’s S2 cycling isn’t as bad as I made it out to be. Iana’s Skill 2 will activate automatically if her hologram’s been hit if her skill is ready (as shown in his video on the H6-2 stage), which is good. I think my criticism *only* applies to a scenario where Iana’s skill isn’t fully charged before her hologram is attacked, which is more likely if a barrage of ranged enemy attacks or a swarm of fast mobs are coming Iana’s way.
Overview: I find Iana’s kit really unique with some good utility and DPS, but S2 cycling can be finicky. Her kit prioritises her substitute, unlike other Dollkeepers’. I would not say she is meta, but we’ll have to see. And trust me, I’m not here just for the double pu-
Well, thank you for the informative showcase, Mr. Gotcha.

Now we REALLY need a projekt red alter. Poor girl is getting power crept by EVERYONE.
Thanks for the breakdown, this made me understand her easier 👍
Felt like a single target ambusher
So does she have like infinite hp or sm?
She still have HP tho
From what I understand, the hologram is the main unit that you call in, and Iana herself spawns as the Substitute. If the Substitute dies, she gets retreated as normal, same as all other Dollkeepers. She does have a much different way of cycling, though, which is really cool.
So if hologram gets attacked real iana as skill spawns in and returns to hologram after skill . but if she's attacked immediately iana returns on field
But if during skill she's killed she gets retreated?
@@lolatray7 Almost, yeah. The hologram switches to Iana when hit due to her talent, and Skill 1 triggers when that switch happens while Skill 2 simply switches the hologram to Iana when used, if it doesn't get hit, with the effect lasting only part of the Substitute's time. The rest is right though, if Iana (the Substitute) dies, she retreats as normal.
Can't blame you for being confused, honestly, she's just so much more different than the other Dollkeepers.
I'm assuming that if her hologram got hit with her S2 charged, she would lose the skill?
In that case the skill will be activate as she was hit
@@nakafutatsu9251
I know that S1 will be activated, but every video I saw has S2 manually activated before the hit. Plus, S2 doesn't say anything about being activated when hit, unlike S1.
yes she loses her skill, it activates her talent instead. you can see it happen at 3:52, the enemy that hit her hologram loses invisibility while the others stay invisible.
@@Vin.i
Figured that to be the case.
I heard from several people that her S2 is automatically activated, but had doubt since I never once seen a clip of her using her S2 when hit.
Plus, like every other Dollkeeper, they lose their charged skill when defeated and swap to their substitute.
@@Zack_Zanderit seems I have to correct myself, I was rewatching the part I told you in this video and noticed she did *not* have her skill ready then, hence it activated her talent instead, so I went to see videos of her on bilibili and saw if her skill *is* ready it will activate automatically when her hologram takes damage. Sorry for the confusion.
My eyes went awooga when I realised she has diamond shape range
Its so cursed lol
I wasn't interested at all at first, but the more i look at and into Iana the more i like her.
This OP is literal another single taarget Therm EX
Definitely great for baiting one shot gimmicks
Watching this made me wanna pull iana and ended up getting the other 2 before her. Rip savings for walter
Does Iana hit aerial enemies?
Of course she can hit aerial
@@MrGotcha
Nice, that's great!
But it's not like I could have outright assumed she could, considering even Executor alter has a gun and yet he can't hit aerial enemies.
I'm having a hard time understanding her kit. Who woulda thought her mechanic is gonna be reverse dollkeeper
Ah yes the totally not ambusher archetype
Im curious if she can tank the sarkaz caster bind skill
What I'm assuming is gonna happen is that the moment the sarkaz uses his special ability she will instantly cancel it because the hologram received damage and will change into the substitute (a different target) and since that is not part of a skill but rather her talent it won't get silenced
Is it me or the new r6 ops skill set pretty underwhelming? A bit too under performed to the previous R6 ops
Fuze: Got 3 blocks and innate AoE attack thanks to his class. S1 is for general use; quite strong for solo laneholding, though nothing really special. S2 is the problem here; 3x limited usage, 30s cooldown so you can't chain them together, and requires specific positioning. But given some buff (from Warfarin or someone else, for example), it will do some wonders.
Doc: Can be deployed to ranged tile as well as melee tile. S1 is for solo laneholding on early waves. S2 got potential as best single hit healing in the game, and got potential of helidrop on M3 with just 5 seconds of waiting. The problem is that both S1 and S2 got only 3x limited usage per deployment, and he can't hit aerial (EDIT: the hitting aerial part is OK now).
Iana: At least she's better off than Fuze and Doc. Think of her as Ambusher with extra step. She got big range, S1 for AoE grenade (the grenade itself got a global range... Only the grenade, though), S2 for reveal against invisible enemies.
Ela: Considering she's the *6, it's given that she's more functional than the other 3. Good support with her trap (3x3 range, can trigger her trip by just placing them behind the target). S2 got splash dmg and stun, S3 got attack boost and Fragile. Quite a functional operator, imo.
@@renseiryuu Doc can hit air, despite it not being mentioned in the game. In fact all r6 can hit air
@@DetectiveLevi Ah right, I forgot to change that part, thanks. Heard that there was a bug before that makes him couldn't shoot aerial before
i dont get why so many ppl like her a lot. she looks mid the animations aren't anything crazy same goes for the skills. i guess ppl just like the character (edit: half a year later and now i finally get it. i guess never judge the book by its cover...)
It's the unique take on the dollkeeper archetype, much cooler than having the 100th "kills patriot in 10 seconds" operator
There's also the invis reveal I guess, it's like Scene's without eating up your deployment limit
Here late, but I definitely see Iana as more of a "fun™" unit. It's not like she's bad, her qualities currently unique amongst other dollkeeper operators make her valuable in a few more cases than any standard DK. But she isn't built to be OP. Rather, she provides a new tactical option for stealth reveal and some aight damage with both her S1 and S2, and a possibility for some crazy "survivability" with her own invisibility with her S2 as long as she has 5 seconds of things not hitting her.
