Luke, I was thinking... You might wish to chat with Night Shift. He does armor and dioramas. Also another of his hobbies is collecting sand and soil from all over the world. One tank dio he did he used actual sand from Tunisia. The dio was set in Tunisia. I think you and he might be able to do something magical and new products. He's a magician in weathering.

Awesome tutorial for intermediates man. Once you've got the basics of gluing and sealing down it can be a bit intimidating to know where to go from there when you first start but this pretty much covers what you should be trying next.
And if you are a newbie, remember you can test this stuff on a scrap 6" square of foam first to try out the methods if it makes you feel more comfortable :)
That way you feel more like you know what you're doing before you touch the precious project 😅

Hi Luke, great video! I would really love it if you could talk about the whole deal with the alligator clip, where it should touch, whether we're talking about a live current or if it's just doing something with static electricity, etc. Why do some terrain modellers' videos seem to show them touching the clip near the grass but without a wet glue area seeming to exist between the clip and where the grass is standing up? Are they using a metal plate underneath or something? On larger boards, it rarely looks like they've drenched the entire area in wet glue, and yet the grass still seems to stand up. I think a lot of video tutors seem to take this part for granted, so I see almost everyone just glossing over this aspect of applying static grass. Would love a bit more of a deep dive on it. Cheers!

    I have a question:
I recently got into the hobby of mini RC crawlers. So I decided to make an indoor course to crawl on. My first design was made of cardboard covered with paper-mache and it actually does the job.
However, I stumbled upon the art of dioramas and landscape modelling and I fell in love. Now I have decided to try to make a diorama/crawler course out of gypsum plaster, sand, pebbles and so on.
TL;DR - Provided I seal the surfacing and flocking with a lot of glue (got lots of clear PVA) would it survive driving an RC on top of it for some considerable time or would it get destroyed immediately?
