RASSAZ LITFEST 2024............. DAY 1 [12th September 2024]
The inauguration ceremony of the annual literature festival “RASSAZ LITFEST 2024” wove a spellbinding tapestry that left our learners enchanted and inspired. Our Chief Guest Mr. Hari Chakyar along with the Managing Trustee-Mr. Zoheb Ahmad and Principal -Mrs. Shagufta Parkar declared the LITFEST open. The inaugural act was a journey through the literary realms where Moana -the adventurous wayfarer who navigates the oceans welcomed Gulliver, Akbar and Birbal, Vikram -Betaal and Slappy emphasizing the power of imagination and the universality of stories. Chief Guest Mr. Hari Chakyar-a creative writer, illustrator and storyteller engaged our learners with insights and his journey in the world of creativity. The Inter school competitions saw an enthusiastic participation of students from various schools. These competitions were like literary jousts where students like young knights wielded their pens, voices, and creativity and participated in the Journalism, Declamation and Extempore competitions. Our learners participated in Inter-House Literary quiz that was themed on Phrases and idioms as well मुहावरे और लोकोक्तियाँ. This was a chance to gauge whether our learners have a way with words and all we can say to our participants is “way to go!” The award ceremony felicitated the winners and applauded their efforts. As the curtains dropped on the first day of the LITFEST it left our learners with the quest for more and they eagerly awaited for the day to turn over just like the pages of a book. In sync with the tag line of the LITFEST 2024 -the day definitely was bookmarked with the memorable moments and had boundless stories that would gradually be unfolded in the days to come.DAY 2 [13th September 2024]...........Day 2 of the LITFEST 2024 was yet another exciting day with an enticing and attractive event line up. The Inter class Poem Performance saw students of Grade I to V present and perform on lovely poems in English. It was as if the poems in the books came alive with characters on stage. Our learners breathed life into ink as they recited the poems with intonation, pauses and crescendos. The stage was the book and the learners were the words that came alive as they recited the following poems -The seven stages of man, Nature’s way, Wake up , The Power of learning, Save Earth, Heartwood, Equipment and The magic of the mind. Students of Grade VI to X had to select Hindi poem for the competition and performances were mesmerizing as they graced the stage to recite and perform on खोटी अठन्नी, सपने, पंख लगा उड़ जाएं, तू खुद की खोज में निकल, कोशिश करने वालों की हार नहीं होती. It was music to the ears and a sight to behold!
The stage was set for the Inter Class Drama competition where classic tales came alive through the magic of theater. Each act resonated in the hearts of both the performers as well as the audience. Whether it was the story of Maria, a spirited governess who brings music and love to their home in the sound of music, the Charles Dickens’ timeless tale of Ebenezer Scrooge-a miserly old man visited by three ghosts on Christmas Eve, the king’s absurd requests and the citizens’ witty exchanges in Andher Nagari Chaupat Raja that created a hilarious yet thought-provoking narrative, the scene of the casket test for Portia’s suitors in the Shakespearean masterpiece of Merchant of Venice, every skit was applauded with a bouquet of claps.Students of the Primary and Pre-primary section had a wonderful time in the story telling session on Anansi the spider- a beloved character from the west African folklore. Ms. Misbah Ali -founder of the language academy, EduSpring narrated the story in a fun and interactive manner. To sum up it was a day that had a perfect blend of joy and learning and this concoction was thoroughly savoured.DAY # 3 [14th September 2024] The third day of RASSAZ LITFEST 2024 was packed with fun and learning and stood testimony to the fact that entertainment, fun, and learning need not be separate chambers; they can coexist, harmonize, and create a symphony of life.The day started with an inspiring and engaging workshop on “Leadership Skills”. Parents became story weavers as they sat down to spin a yarn and mould old stories in a new setting.Parents took part in the advertising competition wherein they randomly picked boxes that had a product which needed to be advertised. They had a minute to present the act on stage. It was a treat for the audience and the lobby resonated with peals of laughter. The culmination ceremony -the beginning of the end highlighted the significance of the day “हिंदी दिवस”. Thereafter the announcement and felicitation of winners kept the audience on the edge of their seats. Thunderous applause echoed in the lobby as the winners held on to the trophies and certificates.That’s what RASSAZ LITFEST 2024 created -Bookmarked moments, boundless stories.
