    Do you put your compact in order of application? Or do you have them all memorized by sight by now?!

    This was soooo very helpful. I’ve been using Maskcar Beauty/Seint for 3 years as well, but application techniques have changed so much from when I started. And how to fill you palette was helpful as well because I re-organize mine way too often searching for the optimum palette. There probably is no optimum solution for me cuz I have too many fav colors! Thank you!

    These are the most helpful videos I’ve found so far. I’m a newbie already working with another artist, but so curious what you would have matched me to because I think you understand tones so well. Received my makeup today and applied it and feeling that it looked too dark/orangey. I appreciate your tips, especially “less is more”. Thank you 😊

    I used to use Aspen to color correct my redness, and Mango is just so much prettier under my main shade. Same with my under eyes - Mango looks better than Frenchie, to me.

    Any tips for very oily skin? Make up tends to melt for me!

  • @heatherjessup4500

    How is this makeup for combo to oily people!! I like a very skin like finish! Nothing heavy at all

    • @TheContouredChemist
      @TheContouredChemist  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      These creams do look like skin and are not heavy at all....if they do feel heavy they've been applied incorrectly. They are much more pigmented than traditional makeup so you need very little. I started wearing this makeup with combo skin and it works on any skin type, you might just need a primer or powder to help with oil.

    Lots of info
    Wish the person I bought stuff went over 1/10 of all this info! I bought it and sorta have to find my way
    I think that’s why this makeup gets a bad wrap
    Huge learning curve and with Covid and no in person help it really stinks

    Great video as always - loved the cameo at the end!! That blue compact was really pretty - I didn't see anything like it on the website so I am guessing that may be a discontinued pattern. Or it is possible I missed the obvious - that happens too! :)

    Thank you for ur videos!! So many tips!! I have listened to u about having trouble with it staying on which I do. By the end of the work day my sun spots & acne scars show through on the sides of my face & just having trouble getting it to stay on. I do wear a mask all long so that could be the problem. My color matches good but have heard u say it could be the color. Finally got mango in today and trying it to see if that helps!! Any suggestions??

    What happens if I have texture on my cheek area where you are applying your lightest highlight shade? Avoid this step? I'm still learning and love watching your demos!

    • @TheContouredChemist
      @TheContouredChemist  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      LittleGolferMom do you still have the texture after using the Perfector?

    • @LittleGolferMom
      @LittleGolferMom 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Contoured Chemist yes, even after using the Perfector. I also have “character lines” between my brows. What do you suggest? I have also been using a silicone free face primer.

    • @TheContouredChemist
      @TheContouredChemist  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LittleGolferMom that may mean your brightener shade is either too light or just not the right tone for you. Like for me, both Aura and White Peach are the same "darkness" per se, but one is yellow undertoned and one is white. I can wear Aura because I have yellow tones. So it could be you just don't have the perfect shade for your tones.

    • @LittleGolferMom
      @LittleGolferMom 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Contoured Chemist I’m wearing Sandy for my all over highlight, Aura for pop color and Olive (soon to be Astoria) for contour. When I use the word texture, I mean pores and my “character lines” between my brows. I am eeeck...51! Should I try a less yellow undertone pop color? Or just avoid my “textured” areas?

    • @TheContouredChemist
      @TheContouredChemist  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@LittleGolferMom its honestly hard to say without seeing your photo and what your undertones look like. But any brightener will emphasize those unless you don't go as bright. The lighter your brightener the more that will happen. I usually recommend my Sandy girls to start with June or Candlelit to brighten to avoid those issues. Or you just have to be light handed with the Aura and utilize the Perfector a lot to press it in and take away that look of sitting in your pores. Aura usually sits better on most skin tones than White Peach, they are the same brightness. So avoiding those areas is the easiest option if you still want that "pop".

    Is the Be Squared brush still available?

    • @TheContouredChemist
      @TheContouredChemist  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Crystal Ratcliff yep they changed it online so it’s called the Blush and Bronzer brush as the title and it says B squared in the description 👍🏻

  • @DonnaBreenC21
    @DonnaBreenC21 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    so do you prefer b square or Buffy for the first layer? In one video you really liked Buffy but this video you seemed to prefer b square.

    • @TheContouredChemist
      @TheContouredChemist  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nope the B squared is definitely my daily go to unless you want a full coverage then Buffy is good....I just don't recommend the Buffy for beginners since it can apply it too heavily.
