Mojang released a snapshot for Minecraft 1.21 that added the Wind Charges! I decided to mess with them in some redstone builds lol

But I was born in November 2005, so I'm 18. And no, I don't function like a grown-up man, I'm basically just your average teenie living alone in a house out in Småland's forest with the only social interactions happening in school. And yes, I live alone since I was 17 and a half years old.

Correction: the wind charge makes you take no fall damage as long as the landing spot is equal to or higher than the initial wind charge shot

Is this from special code to the breeze balls? Or is that just how Minecraft fall damage works?

@@duke9081so what if you have a laincher at bedrock, a breze ball launches yiu a bit and then yiu get furtther accelerated from tnt? Will you get fall damage?

Well, we also have sculk sensors which also works like wireless redstone
@@googooseyep just because they have no bullet drop doesn't mean it's consistent, it flies in a bit of a random direction, and if the target is far away, then it will possibly miss.
Not the wireless redstone we wanted, but it is technically wireless redstone.
It's more what we wanted compared to skulk sensors
Now we have 4 types of redstones
Mineral redstone
Water redstone
Sound redstone
Wind redstone
We be collecting all the elements

With all the issues that Sculk Sensors have, this new wireless redstone is definitely a breath of fresh air. You breezed through the builds, I'm definitely gonna have to re-watch this!

wind charges are such a cool addition; a new movement option, redstone component, and weapon all in one
when you're walking around on your redstone computer but when you use the wind charge to jump up a few blocks you accidentally break the whole thing

They should make a version of dispenser that's perfectly accurate, that way any machine using breeze balls like this is actually reliable.

To explain the complicated doors more easily, you could slow down the tick rate! :)
This reminded me of a Minecraft mod called HyperWorld which adds a W axis to the game. It seems really neat, the creator added a bunch of things you might not even think about like the ability for directional blocks to face along the W axis, the ability for redstone components to be powered by sources along the W axis, and even 4D Quasi-connectivity I believe. If my computer didn’t already stuggle with 3 dimensions let alone 4 I’d try it.

To be clear: it makes no fall damage if you use it to get upwards
Or in complicated terms, the game remembers the y-coordinate in which you used it in, and if the place you land has a higher or same y-coordinate than that then the fall damage is negated, but if the y-coordinate is lower than the saved one, then you will take damage according to the length of the fall

I think that they should replace blaze rods with fire charges, and make the fire charges work similarly to this, and who knows, someday we will have ATLA in minecraft

This was a very informative proof of concept video, good job. I wonder how far people will take these concepts.
I really hope they give breeze balls an exception and remove the inaccuracy for them, or even remove inaccuracy for them or all projectiles when shot out of a dispenser. To me that makes sense since inaccuracy is meant to reflect human error

I never ever thought about this. This is why I do the mining and adventuring, and y'all can work on your redstone. Really cool, but hurts my head to make.

i feel like these could actually be useful in regular contraptions (if you are just trying to make it as compact as possible and not worrying about restocking the dispensers) as you can maybe like send pulses through blocks with this and connect parts that weren't previously connectable.

I think wind charges are going to end up like fire charges first it’s “that’s so cool” and then it becomes “not this again” purely because there’s no setting were you would use them “unless” Mojang adds a staff that you have put like mending and unbreaking to that that shoots them out so you don’t need to carry around a stack and it could also be used in red stone machines without needing 9 stacks of them

you finally implemented a way for redstone engineers to implement planned obsolesence into minecraft contraptions and overcharge on repair fees when your door breaks and it's as simple as refilling the breeze balls (but the user doesn't know that)

The "lore" reason that the wind charge can do "redstony" things (like flick levers and push buttons) is because it's a compressed ball of ACTUAL WIND
