In the first 3 games, the boss fight QTE’s were both stressful and fun at the same time. It was at the RIGHT level of “challenging”. But then Storm 4 rolled by and made them less meaningful by REMOVING the fail scenes and reducing the number of stars needed to get the secret factor. How could they possibly think this was a good idea?! I don’t want hand-holding.
In terms of QTE: Storm 2 was more challenging and stressful when it comes to fail qte animations which would affect the final result of a boss battle. Storm Connections made it more easier by removing the fail qte animations and making less stars to complete. For newbies, i'll say, go for it. In terms of lighting: Storm Connections looks way more polished than storm 2 but storm 2 had this old ps3 vibe in the graphics which i liked when i was 13. And in terms of fighting: Storm Connections is way more stuffed than Storm 2 because of storm 4 gameplay.
Idc for failed qte's cuz at the end of the day your goal is to complete fights. Like sure the fail scenes were quirky and funny but it was so novel. What good are the failed qt scenes after you've seen them once or twice, it just disconnects the whole fight. What I am upset about is the number of inputs being decreased. Now that's just casual AF making stars easy to obtain, obtaining max stars was always fun.

Because imo as is right now, QTEs should be able to be completed by anyone by default. Just the max stars shouldn't be brain dead easy
That would require an actual rework of the game, which would be aremake and not a remaster. They wanted to make the most money possible woth the least amount of investment and aeffort as always. Anyway, I'm not complaining, finally having the entire story of Naruto in a single game is still worth it, plus the more refined Storm 4 combat makes a huge difference for the older Storms 1 and 2.

The boss character portrait on Connections looks sooo unpolished like why is the portrait or Pain soo small... just make it like storm 2... a small detail that makes the game feel less unfinished

Everything is just so wrong with connections and it all dials down to the small details, for example fail QTE's and even the COLOUR of the buttons showed on screen, theres no passion...theres no soul. It's just a shameless cashgrab and a shameless remaster. If they can't do something AS SIMPLE as COLOURING THE SQUARE TRIANGLE BUTONS IN THE SHOWCASE then how would they expect me to buy the damn game
