Gary has a big impact on me this last year on Matthew 24. As well Men like Doug Wilson, Jeff Durban, and Bruce Gore. The Lord has used these brothers, to bring me to the truth of the victory of Christ’s kingdom.
@JessieBland I totally agree with you on this point!! I once was a premillanialist for a number of years before Yahweh graciously took me out and showed me postmillenialist IS the only way to view scripture!!
Looks like your journey has been the same as mine this year! Wilson, Durbin, Gore, and Demar have all blessed me and brought me out of dispensational premillennialism! Praise God for the truth
Mr. Demar, I love what you are doing . You gotta rack your brain and then explain what you know is truth to people who have lived a brain entrainment program. Thank God for you !!
My dad Lanny Phillips told me about you years ago. He really liked your teaching. Unfortunately he passed in January 2021. Thanks for your careful study and passing it on to us.! 💜
Starting at 39:42 are some key statements! "This does not mean just because this was fulfilled that God doesn't pour His wrath out. ...why is the book of Revelation written to those 7 churches? Because it's a warning to them and a warning to us that what happened to Israel can happen to us as well!" However, we don't read anywhere in Scripture that there is a 3rd coming of Christ to destroy the earth. His Kingdom on earth is supposed to be ever-increasing, not having an end. From what I'm witnessing in my own life and of those believers around me, the judgment of God on the elect in the new covenant seems to be an ongoing thing to purify the church so that the Tree of Life is in her midst as healing to the nations. If we read the book of Revelation to seek Jesus and understand His message, rather than as a prophecy about the future, we will discover the reasons to repent daily and overcome our sins. This will allow us to experience all the blessings that Jesus promises to the seven churches mentioned in the book, which are relevant both in this life and the afterlife. I'm afraid not heeding His warning to the 7 churches will result in His judgment carried out each in our own lifetime.
In the beginning of this lecture Gary cites several names of people who wrote that certain things must fulfilled in the first century. He named Ezekiel, Zechariah, Luke, and Mary. Who is he speaking of when he says Mary?
Though antichrists don't have anything to do with an end of the world villain, I'm wondering if the great apostasy and the "man of lawlessness" that Paul talks about in II Thessalonians are related to the antichrists that John talks about in I John are related and if John was stating that since they were here, it was a sign that the judgment of Jerusalem was about at the doors?
Ezekiel 38-39 is a prophecy which would have followed Messianic deliverance if Israel had repented and obeyed the law. Like the ‘water and spirit’ passages in chap. 36 and the temple chapters 40-47, it was all transferred over to the Christian economy in the 1st century. The law and its blessings are all conditional. Most of the O.T. Prophecies have a N.T. counterpart, but these need better fleshing out by expositors.
Saying that Ezek 38-39 WOULD HAVE followed Messianic deliverance. May mean something to you. But I doubt anyone else reading your comment will understand your intent.
Ok It's two months later I now (sort of) understand the original post. By saying that the Ezekiel prophecy WOULD HAVE been fulfilled if national Israel had kept the law is utterly false The main reasons are 1) the law was a schoolmaster to drive them to Christ. Not am end in itself 2) in your system, it appears that if national Israel kept the law then, perhaps, Jesus wouldn't need to due on the cross (that's a Dispy type thought). If he didn't die and rise again, we'd have no salvation.
@Re L there is only one unconditional covenant (promise) in the OT. There are lots of great promises - all to Jesus Christ and those that are in him. I can look up the only unconditional promise ... but rather busy now 🙄
@Re L There is no they and they are not in exile. Israel as a physical people were smashed not taken into exile. Babylon was exile, what happened in 70 AD was something totally different. The conversion of the Khazar's (the Kingdom of Khazaria) into Judaism years later created the majority of what are called Jews today. They are not the descendents of Abraham and it is they who unlawfully pushed the Palestinians off their own land in 1948. Look at Benjamin Netanyahu and most Israelis, they are as white as can be. They are not semites. Several years back the Ashkenazi Jews in Israel were upset because the Sephardic Jews wanted to attend their schools. O The Irony, the fake semites were against the real semites going to their schools. No Jew today really knows what tribe they are from. Any records that would have been helpful in determining that were destroyed by the Roman Armies in Jerusalem and the surrounding towns during the several years of war that culminated in the destruction of Jerusalem. Why is it that so many Evangelical Christians have a hard time accepting the Apostle Paul's definition of a Jew and that all Israel was saved. Are they waiting for the Synagogue of Satan to repent? There is no promise that this is going to happen. If you can lead a Jew to Christ, bring them into the Church, but don't tell them they are special because of racial blood because that is a lie. Paul say's they were special because unto them were given the oracles of God. Today and for centuries they have forsaken the Scriptures for their blasphemous Talmud and the words of the Rabbis!
I pray God would just tell plainly when. Why are the scriptures written like it's during our time? For exampke Days of Noah... so these days are not like that? My goodness.
@@ayobithedark2772 , the generation that gets raptured is not more special than other generations. These people will simply happen to be alive when the Father says it's time.

Me too.
Also watch Gentry, that’ll complete your point :)
Same here

Yes, Gary Demar is right. James B Jordan is a master of biblical interpretation and has been a huge blessing to me.

Awesome message and very informative
In the beginning of this lecture Gary cites several names of people who wrote that certain things must fulfilled in the first century. He named Ezekiel, Zechariah, Luke, and Mary. Who is he speaking of when he says Mary?
I don't know, I figured he meant Matthew

We need an ESV postmillenial study bible by uncle Gary, Ken Gentry, and all the guys from Apologia and Christ Church in Moscow...
Agreed! I love the ESV. Translators are obviously very Pre-mil.
Absolutely!
Thank you so much for this insight. One question: is the Jim he referred to James B. Jordan?
Yeah, it probably is
Look at the time 11:35, he says Jim Jordan

@Re L disobedience, exile, and restoration all took place within the Old Testament time frame and is recorded in the Old Testament Scriptures.

In like manner…
Gary have you debated Mark Hitchcock? He seems to obliterated the postmill position....
irritating---it is ZEchariah not ZAchariah.
