the only thumb pad that needs replacing on my Xbox controller is the left thumb pad.. i was just playing GTA online like i always do then all of a sudden the grip itself just split
Thank you so much for this video! My current controller is having extremely bad controller drift with even a new stage 2-type controller drift. My previous controller works just fine but was missing a rubber grip. Thanks to this I fixed it and you have no idea how good it feels to not have to deal with literally every 2 seconds, near instant speed dash up, and the weird drift that happens after input
@@KarlFixes Yes, its not shown in the video, but I think the later versions use a Torx Security screw. There is a post in the centre of the screw and the driver needs a hole to go over it. Not all Torx drivers have this feature, without the centre hole its impossible to remove the screw.
can you measure the diameter and height of the analog xbox? Because i want to replace my existing analog (EasySMX 9110) with the xbox/PS joystick and maybe can fit on there. Thanks.
The way I did it was by flipping it inside out and placing it on the top, then push and it grips on, no disassembly required (note my controller is pretty worn
seriously? I just want to replace the rubber, not the entire joystick.

Mine randomly came off while watching tv I wonder the easiest way to put the original one back on without taking apart the controller
@@chevylover7656 while watching tv lol
@@patrickmahomesll5107 yup went to go rewind the show and my thump grip was off
@@chevylover7656 yeah I just imagined it sitting there ...and it popped off lol

Question, is Xbox a bunch of scumbags for making rubber pads that rip so easy? It’s almost as if they want us to have to buy more controllers…
Don't buy a new pad just replace the stick its super easy and costs very little

What type of screw is that
The plus/x
torqx screw
I may be weird, but it feels better. Just got a new controller and it feels so good. It also has weird grip on the back.
Thanks! That was a easy fit!
Took me a bit to find but now I’m here
Thanks i really needed this
I can't get the screws out of the Xbox series x one
You need a special screwdriver thats like a star with a hole on I believe

Nice
Honestly this was more helpful then the video! Lol after two days of searching I finally put the original grip on my controller 🤣
that's what I tried to do yesterday, but it ended up tearing apart
No need to open the controller just hold it in the corner and pull it out
Is there a way to just remove a cap from a thumbstick and put it on another one without disassembling the controller?
No you can't. You have to take the front off and it sits under the front plastic cover
@@KarlFixes nah, there is the secret on how to replace them they dont want you to use!
where do i get the replacement part now...
Ebay amazon loads ofnplaces to buy the sticks cheap
@@KarlFixes could I just buy more grips? Or would I have to replace the whole stick
It looks like they are about $10 on Amazon... There's a whole bunch of them.
