Lele and Brandon were the standouts to me in this marathon. They kept the energy level and performance up the whole time.

I'm not surprised Xochitl & Val won cuz Xochitl really did deserve it. Ariana and Pasha as well, not surprised that they did well. But Lele & Brandon??! They really stood out this time (even Alfonso felt it, since he kept bringing them up lol). Lele really kept her energy and dance face on, throughout the whole thing. This was really her break out night, with her paso doble, too. Good job! (Also, kudos to Brandon & Pasha for adding in Charleston steps we don't often see on the show.)
And Gleb as the grim reaper was hilarious, the whole night lol. His stony stare in the background in the skybox was comedy gold.
Bruh Jason and Dani were doing so great on the Charleston part, it was dumb they got eliminated

Definitely misjudged! I felt so bad for Barry getting sent out first when he had a huge smile on his face. Harry should have been out first, he was just standing still spinning Rylee around as usual. I think Lele and Brandon should’ve won.

they need to do away with this dance marathon. TERRIBLY misjudged. Jason and Daniella had the best Charleston when it got down to the last 4. And then when it was down to the final 2, Xochitl seemed to just stand and improvise, not really dancing, while Val did the splits?? If you don’t have the capacity to judge these marathons, don’t do it!!! BRING BACK TEAM DANCES

The walking creatures disco dance from Saturday Night Fever and The Bee Gees who help them "Staying Alive" with the Charleston Dance to "Grim Grinning Ghosts and at the dance party, they're getting in the step. With two way ties, three way ties and more, each of the dancers and stars, Barry and Peta, Harry and Rylee, Mauricio and Emma, Alyson and Sasha, Charity and Artem Lele and Brandon, Ariana and Pasha and Jason and Daniella were all out of the dance party and had to stand on the stairway or in the seat till the judges picked out a winner and with 1 point for a total of 38 out of 40 or 5 point for a total of 42 over 40, The winner of the Monster Night Monster-thon is Xochitl Gomez and partner Jenna's soon to be husband for TH-cam Channel next week, Val Chmerkovskiy who'll tell us about how dancing changed everything and how we go behind the scenes before the next vlog. And it was a dream they knew how monster night was fun wearing that Wednesday outfit and his black shirt and striped pants and shoes. Which goes to show. Xochitl wins, and changed nothing about the leaderboard positions really.......

I have questions. Was this preplanned? Did the “writers” figure this out ahead of time? If they didn’t, the “lowest” couple had to learn choreography for or be able to improvise each dance style all the way to the end?
Or did they already decide who went out in order? Why would they do a marathon with non-dancers?
Sorry my post might be confusing. Not all dancers have learned a Charleston. So they just can’t dance something they already know and they aren’t dancers that could just improvise. Feels like they knew ahead of time who they were taking out when.
I’m no expert, but I believe dance marathons were a traditional thing of the past, like maybe the 20’s/30’s? Where they would include certain “staple moves” like the Charleston. So I think they rehearsed certain moves to fit the dance style, but I don’t think it was all necessarily choreographed here. It was improvised but with a set of moves to rotate in. It reminds of Grease when they all did the hand jive. Or if you have ever seen that part in “Its a Wonderful life” where they dance in the gym. I do think they kinda had a list in mind of who they wanted to win though because it felt like they were barely looking at the dancers.
I actually know what a dance marathon is. I was just so perplexed as to the outcome of this contest( and the scoring and placement this whole season).
@@user-wi3xh8pt5q I think each couple just tried to practice/learn a little bit in each style for this marathon. If they didnt have anything prepared they had to improvise. The judges threw out whoever they thought was doing the worst until there was one left. I do think this is a harsh challenge for this show and should be taken out. In traditional ballroom competitions it works because everyone is professional or trained ballroom dancers. But that's not true for this show. They did a marathon back in Season 17 too. Ofc one of the couples on top of the leaderboard always wins. Personally, I think they choose the wrong winner for this one though. I didn't understand how Xochitl could just stand there looking tired asf while Val is doing the splits, but not be taken out 🤷🏾♂️

This marathon dance should be retired, as the judging made NO sense at all! At one point, Alfonso even questioned one elimination! I rewatched this segment & reconfirmed the same.. just ridiculous!!

What happened to the group dance😢?? Nothing about this year has been a awesome year. Its getting so predictable.
DWTS TH-cam PEOPLE are not stars😒 with so many people not working in Hollywood give them a chance to make money in their god given talent.
