- In part 2 of our trip to Germany we visit the Rammelsberg mines, one of the sources of wealth for Goslar. We get a tour of the old 19th century mining tunnels and galleries and I give you a little historical overview of the place.
Next, we visit one of Germany's few stave churches, the Gustav-Adolf Stave Church, which is beautifully built from wood in a Norwegian style. Our last destination in the Harz mountains is Quedlinburg, which also has a rich medieval history and beautiful architecture. Dive into some German history with me!

Have you visited a stave church before?
Last year's drought... Seems to be an international thing.
Yeah, definitely.
Loved the tour of the stave church!! Thank you! 💕 I’ve not been in one, but only at Epcot Center in Disney. That doesn’t really count- LoL
Thank you for stopping by! Hope you've been doing well! 🥰 That was one of the nicest churches I've visited. I could have stayed longer. The carvings are beautiful, so is the chime of the bells. 😁 Very relaxed atmosphere around the little village as well. The World needs more stave churches. 😆
