I'm so glad you noticed Yuta & Haechan, the cutey corner. The current "joke" of the fandom is that Yuta doesn't like Haechan or just refuses his affection. But if you've been a fan since their trainee days, you know that they love each other and have a wonderful brotherly bond.

The person who told you you wouldn't like them, is probably someone who has only ever heard their title tracks... which is sadly far too common. 127 title tracks are typically hype, hard-hitting, experimental and rap-focused (as are Dream's of late, just in their own way). Their b-sides however run the gamut of genres, with a heavy emphasis on R&B and are largely vocally driven. Three of the members in 127 (Doyoung, Jaehyun & Jungwoo) are in the first fixed sub-unit of NCT called NCT DJJ (or NCT DoJaeJung) that we got this year and so far their vibe is pure R&B, so if you like chill... you're going to love them. Both NCT Killing Voice's show off their b-sides beautifully... but what I appreciate the most is that they also show off their harmonies, gang vocals and ad-libs on both title tracks and b-sides. There are far too few kpop groups that sing all together like this... for most groups it's typically one person at a time, whereas with NCT even when it's one person's voice perhaps leading/standing-out there's often another person singing in the background or the lower part of a harmony (usually Johnny). SM artists are known for their vocals of course, but a big part of what makes their music so great (in my opinion) is because of how sonically rich it is, due to all this vocal layering they have in their production. SM artists also never stick to only one type of music, they make a point to show off their versatility and range, (often in the same song even😄)... you just have to look past their title tracks. There is a lot behind it that I won't get into to do with political/business issues between the two countries, but the result is they do not utilize the same branding and thus do not have NCT in their name. Killing Voice was as they themselves said mostly B-sides, which I think it's a great way to get into NCT 127 bc their title tracks are the experimental kind and they tend to really divide the public when they drop 😅 there's even some videos out there compiling all the random stuff their song producers sample for their songs, it's wild 😂 I personally love their experimental songs (like Sticker, 2 Baddies, Cherry Bomb, Chain, Gimme Gimme, etc.) but I know they're not everyone's cup of tea so I think it was good you were warned even if what is shown in this video is less of that.
3:02 Kprofiles tend to be in a leader first and then descending by age order format, it sometimes happens that the oldest is also the leader but when that's not the case this is the way it's done.
Saying 127's discography is merely noise music has got to be the biggest misconception. Tbh that claim is just not true and can only come from people who havent even touched the surface of this group. Just like nct dream they have equally as many slow, vocal heavy, melodic songs, if you're into r&b and ballads but also fun bops they are the right group for you. They do different genres justice because they have a variety in voices. On top of being incredibly talented they are vey fun and tight knit, getting into them has been an amazing experience. Hope you enjoyed your visit to NCity! Each sub-unit does indeed have it's own flavour but each also has a great deal of range. Especially with 127 it's difficult to say they do one thing, they are incredibly eclectic and try so many different things. This Killing Voice ep does give a good tour of their range while still just scratching the surface. What Killing Voice doesn't show, of course, is the intensity of their performance and choreo so seeing them do a live stage is a real experience and something they also focus on. No matter their official position they can all sing and their blends of voices is truly beautiful. I can't think of an SM group that doesn't have a vocal focus and quite a few powerful voices.
To give you a brief run down: NCT is a HUGE group but since they mainly operate in sub-units, the easiest way to understand them is to think of them as individual groups that occasionally unite. So currently NCT has 5 debuted sub-units: NCT U, NCT 127, NCT Dream, WayV, and NCT DoJaeJung (in the order of debut). - NCT U is a rotational subunit. It is not a fixed unit, each NCT U song will probably have a different combination of NCT members. This unit exists so that NCT members from different units can come together to put out music. - NCT 127 is the first fixed subunit. 127 is the longitudinal coordinate of Seoul, Korea. They went through elaborate lineup additions (for the lore). Debuted with 7 then +2 and +1 members. - NCT Dream is the youthful subunit of NCT. They had an initial concept of being a graduation type unit (to stay as the unit consisting of the youngest NCT members) but it was eventually scrapped. - WayV is the Chinese subunit of NCT. They were supposed to have NCT in the name but couldn't due to political restrictions between Korea and China. - NCT DoJaeJung is the latest subunit consisting of 3 of NCT 127's vocalists. - NCT also has an upcoming Japanese subunit that is currently being referred to as NCT New Team (the official unit name will be announced during the debut). NCT's concept is basically "limitless". The vision was to have new members join every now and then and have subunits based in major cities around the world. However, since the brains behind the concept is no longer in SM, it was decided that this upcoming subunit would contain the final new members. No more new NCT members will be added. Thus, there won't be any more city based subunits, just the Korean team (127), the Chinese team (WayV) and the new Japanese team.
Thanks for the reaction! The reason they’re not separate groups is kind of two-fold. 1. They have whole-group activities as well, they come out with an album with everyone on it every few years (2018, 2020, 2021, 2023). These albums are generally comprised of NCT U songs and a full group song (ex Beautiful, Golden Age). 2. NCT U- the rotational unit. Members from any unit are (wayv, dream, 127) are pulled for NCT U songs. Can be any combo and number of people. So even though the units can in certain ways be viewed as separate because MOST their activities are separate, there is lots of music and content that is not. 😊 Also, whoever told you Dream is more vocal based than 127 is clearly only thinking of the title tracks….half of NCT tracks are R&B heaven. And even the experimental songs have amazing vocals thrown in just to flex.

The two people you pointed out stood out for rap are the main rappers Taeyong (who's also the leader) and Mark! And you're definitely not the only one who thinks that. When they were first introduced as SM trainees, there was a collective thought throughout the industry: "SM's finally getting good rappers." They both have written a huge chunk of the music. Taeyong also produces music and choreographs songs. He has a solo album filled with music he has produced, composed and written. He also has a soundcloud where he occasionally posts demos of his unreleased music.
Winwin promotes with WayV (NCT's Chinese subunit) and has done so for years, we don't think he'll come back to 127 but there never was a statement confirming he was out of the group so he's often listed as an inactive member, but just so you know last time he was involved in 127 content was around 2018 so don't expect to see him, better think of 127 as a 9 member unit.
if i describe nct dream’s and 127’s music, personally for me, it’s like i like majority of dream’s discography, you can say almost all songs, but w 127 it’s either i absolutely loooooooove half of their discography and really hate the other half😭😆 i just love nct’s songs, cuz it’s very diverse
its not actually very confusing. nct is just a big group with multiple subunits. thats all there is to it. and then they have nct u where they can mix it up and have songs with people from different units :)
Well, since NCT 127 was the reason this wave of experimental "noise" music started within Kpop boy groups, a lot of people have a prejudice against them, thinking that that's the only genre of music they do since they were the ones that started it. However, NCT 127 is more like NCT's glee club lmfao. They all love singing so much that they've probably never gone anywhere (schedules or freetime) without bursting into random songs or carrying a portable karaoke with them. I'm not even exaggerating 😂. And because of the large number of members who all have different vocal tones and different tastes when it comes to music, they have delved into many different song genres,--- there's something for everyone. Like, if anyone is into solid R&B, 127's music will definitely capture their interest

Not sure that's the case, many of my viewers know me quite well and have watched all my kpop reactions so they know what's my style and what isn't. I don't think anyone was implying that NCT 127 wasn't good, just that it wouldn't be my thing :)
My point isn't that they think their bad, its that people who know their music are aware of the wide variety of music they have. so it would be hard to tell someone that they wouldn't like there music seeing how different all their songs are.@@EmberWishes

It’s true NCT 127 has more noisy and experimental songs that might not be to your taste but it’s mostly their title track. NCT Dream has more bright concept but the last 3 years they also had experimental songs. NCT 127 title track is mostly hip-hop inspired. NCT 127 has different type of music and they do variety of genres but their speciality is R&B. NCT 127 are more vocal based with more vocal technique especially in their b-sides songs. NCT top 6 vocalist, 5/6 members (Taeil, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Jungwoo and Haechan) are from NCT 127 so this should give an idea they are very vocal heavy. Taeyong & Mark from NCT 127 are best rappers in NCT overall SM so you have some b side that is more rap heavy. 127 are a multi talented group and very good at their job. I know I left a huge comment on Dream's video, so I'll try to keep this one shorter. Pink hair is Haechan! His unique voice is honestly just so nice and you're right about his personality being a stand-out! He's very bubbly and mischievous, so he makes a very fun maknae in 127 and a chaotic middle-child in Dream! Him and Yuta (the other member of the cutie-corner) have one of my favorite dynamics in 127, so I was very happy when this vid came out and they were sharing a mic! Stand-outs (in order): Mark (main rapper), Taeyong (main rapper), Taeil (main vocal), Doyoung (main vocal), Haechan (main vocal, maknae), Jungwoo (main vocal I think), Yuta (main dancer I think), and Haechan again. PS again, positions may not be right, 127's positions kinda confuse me, ngl. I hope you continue to check out NCT! I'm a Dreamzen (I only really stan NCT Dream, they're an ult group of mine) but I still absolutely love and adore all the units and members!

wayv is nct . the only reason why they do not have nct in their name is bcs of complications and political issues between south korea and china similar to the reason why lay hasn’t been active in exo for a while . the purpose of nct was to be a global group that has roots in many countries . they have members from all over. macau , china , thailand , germany , america , canada and so on . wayv primarily promotes in china release chinese music but they do still make korean versions to most of their songs to promote in korea from time to time .
NCT 127 - based in seoul the 127 in their names comes from the map coordinates of seoul south korea !
NCT DREAM - the unit was focused on teenagers uniting under one dream . now a fixed unit with 7 members , were the babies of nct .
NCT U - literally just the entire nct roster . they pick and choose between all of the nct members and have them unite for a song / comeback regardless of their units . it’s always a lot of fun seeing the member combinations that get chosen !
WAYV - chinese subunit, promotes in china.
NCT DOJAEJUNG - which consists of members DOyoung , JAEhyun and JUNGwoo .
NCT NEW TEAM - the newest unit of nct , they’ll be focused in japan . they don’t have a fixed name yet but they will officially debut soon ! the new babies of nct . our jisung is not nct’s maknae anymore .
Killing Voice was as they themselves said mostly B-sides, which I think it's a great way to get into NCT 127 bc their title tracks are the experimental kind and they tend to really divide the public when they drop 😅 there's even some videos out there compiling all the random stuff their song producers sample for their songs, it's wild 😂 I personally love their experimental songs (like Sticker, 2 Baddies, Cherry Bomb, Chain, Gimme Gimme, etc.) but I know they're not everyone's cup of tea so I think it was good you were warned even if what is shown in this video is less of that.
3:02 Kprofiles tend to be in a leader first and then descending by age order format, it sometimes happens that the oldest is also the leader but when that's not the case this is the way it's done.

Saying 127's discography is merely noise music has got to be the biggest misconception. Tbh that claim is just not true and can only come from people who havent even touched the surface of this group. Just like nct dream they have equally as many slow, vocal heavy, melodic songs, if you're into r&b and ballads but also fun bops they are the right group for you. They do different genres justice because they have a variety in voices.
On top of being incredibly talented they are vey fun and tight knit, getting into them has been an amazing experience.

Hope you enjoyed your visit to NCity! Each sub-unit does indeed have it's own flavour but each also has a great deal of range. Especially with 127 it's difficult to say they do one thing, they are incredibly eclectic and try so many different things.
This Killing Voice ep does give a good tour of their range while still just scratching the surface. What Killing Voice doesn't show, of course, is the intensity of their performance and choreo so seeing them do a live stage is a real experience and something they also focus on.
No matter their official position they can all sing and their blends of voices is truly beautiful. I can't think of an SM group that doesn't have a vocal focus and quite a few powerful voices.

To give you a brief run down: NCT is a HUGE group but since they mainly operate in sub-units, the easiest way to understand them is to think of them as individual groups that occasionally unite. So currently NCT has 5 debuted sub-units: NCT U, NCT 127, NCT Dream, WayV, and NCT DoJaeJung (in the order of debut).
- NCT U is a rotational subunit. It is not a fixed unit, each NCT U song will probably have a different combination of NCT members. This unit exists so that NCT members from different units can come together to put out music.
- NCT 127 is the first fixed subunit. 127 is the longitudinal coordinate of Seoul, Korea. They went through elaborate lineup additions (for the lore). Debuted with 7 then +2 and +1 members.
- NCT Dream is the youthful subunit of NCT. They had an initial concept of being a graduation type unit (to stay as the unit consisting of the youngest NCT members) but it was eventually scrapped.
- WayV is the Chinese subunit of NCT. They were supposed to have NCT in the name but couldn't due to political restrictions between Korea and China.
- NCT DoJaeJung is the latest subunit consisting of 3 of NCT 127's vocalists.
- NCT also has an upcoming Japanese subunit that is currently being referred to as NCT New Team (the official unit name will be announced during the debut).
NCT's concept is basically "limitless". The vision was to have new members join every now and then and have subunits based in major cities around the world. However, since the brains behind the concept is no longer in SM, it was decided that this upcoming subunit would contain the final new members. No more new NCT members will be added. Thus, there won't be any more city based subunits, just the Korean team (127), the Chinese team (WayV) and the new Japanese team.

The reason they’re not separate groups is kind of two-fold. 1. They have whole-group activities as well, they come out with an album with everyone on it every few years (2018, 2020, 2021, 2023). These albums are generally comprised of NCT U songs and a full group song (ex Beautiful, Golden Age). 2. NCT U- the rotational unit. Members from any unit are (wayv, dream, 127) are pulled for NCT U songs. Can be any combo and number of people.
So even though the units can in certain ways be viewed as separate because MOST their activities are separate, there is lots of music and content that is not. 😊
Also, whoever told you Dream is more vocal based than 127 is clearly only thinking of the title tracks….half of NCT tracks are R&B heaven. And even the experimental songs have amazing vocals thrown in just to flex.

I’d rather say you won’t like them if you didn’t deep dive on them. If you listen to their b-sides it will hard to deny that their music is fire🔥
The two people you pointed out stood out for rap are the main rappers Taeyong (who's also the leader) and Mark! And you're definitely not the only one who thinks that. When they were first introduced as SM trainees, there was a collective thought throughout the industry: "SM's finally getting good rappers." They both have written a huge chunk of the music. Taeyong also produces music and choreographs songs. He has a solo album filled with music he has produced, composed and written. He also has a soundcloud where he occasionally posts demos of his unreleased music.
Winwin promotes with WayV (NCT's Chinese subunit) and has done so for years, we don't think he'll come back to 127 but there never was a statement confirming he was out of the group so he's often listed as an inactive member, but just so you know last time he was involved in 127 content was around 2018 so don't expect to see him, better think of 127 as a 9 member unit.
if i describe nct dream’s and 127’s music, personally for me, it’s like i like majority of dream’s discography, you can say almost all songs, but w 127 it’s either i absolutely loooooooove half of their discography and really hate the other half😭😆

its not actually very confusing. nct is just a big group with multiple subunits. thats all there is to it. and then they have nct u where they can mix it up and have songs with people from different units :)
Well, since NCT 127 was the reason this wave of experimental "noise" music started within Kpop boy groups, a lot of people have a prejudice against them, thinking that that's the only genre of music they do since they were the ones that started it. However, NCT 127 is more like NCT's glee club lmfao. They all love singing so much that they've probably never gone anywhere (schedules or freetime) without bursting into random songs or carrying a portable karaoke with them. I'm not even exaggerating 😂. And because of the large number of members who all have different vocal tones and different tastes when it comes to music, they have delved into many different song genres,--- there's something for everyone. Like, if anyone is into solid R&B, 127's music will definitely capture their interest

NCT127 title tracks are usually hard, fast & experimental, but their bsides are the vibiest of r&b, heartbreaking ballads & the occasional angry/horny banger lol, theyve got a wide range
A lot of NCT units have 1 albums a year(with mini albums & singles throughout) because it sort of goes: WayV release at the beginning of the year, Dream in the middle, 127 at the end & then sometimes ALL of NCT come together at the end of the year, for a full album with diff member combos for each song ie: Empathy(18 members), Resonance(23 members), Universe(21 members) & Golden Age(20 members), NCTU also release singles throughout the year with any combo of members from the 20(current) members(used to be 23 but 2 went to Riize & 1 left SM)
NCT especially 127 LOVE a vibe switch in their songs, keeps you on your toes & showcases the rap & vocals well

This is really more from your Dream reaction but SuperM (which has 4 members from NCT) is a super group because it consists of members from other active groups, and you don't usually get that. It was basically SM going we're going to put all our top wreckers into one group so we can make bank lol

It’s true NCT 127 has more noisy and experimental songs that might not be to your taste but it’s mostly their title track. NCT Dream has more bright concept but the last 3 years they also had experimental songs. NCT 127 title track is mostly hip-hop inspired. NCT 127 has different type of music and they do variety of genres but their speciality is R&B. NCT 127 are more vocal based with more vocal technique especially in their b-sides songs. NCT top 6 vocalist, 5/6 members (Taeil, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Jungwoo and Haechan) are from NCT 127 so this should give an idea they are very vocal heavy. Taeyong & Mark from NCT 127 are best rappers in NCT overall SM so you have some b side that is more rap heavy. 127 are a multi talented group and very good at their job.

I know I left a huge comment on Dream's video, so I'll try to keep this one shorter. Pink hair is Haechan! His unique voice is honestly just so nice and you're right about his personality being a stand-out! He's very bubbly and mischievous, so he makes a very fun maknae in 127 and a chaotic middle-child in Dream! Him and Yuta (the other member of the cutie-corner) have one of my favorite dynamics in 127, so I was very happy when this vid came out and they were sharing a mic!
