Beautiful programs! You could consider showing more of your mistakes because everyone goes through so many struggles in skating and I think it would help a lot of us feel less alone 💕💕
First of all, your dresses, GIRL, I’m in love 😍
Secondly, as a skater, I was very consistenly on my jumps and spins, not because i was the best (far away for being) but because I was really confident on my skates. Sounds weird, but confidence makes the difference. even though I got nervous, I really enjoyed what I was doing, so that really help me. I wasn’t a competition girl, I was on the show side; but I used to put a lot of pressure on me, even though there wasn’t judges judging me.
Another thing that was going through my mind, was that day I must land on my feet, no matter if the jump was not executed correctly.
As a skating teacher, I tell my students to relax and enjoy the moment. If things go wrong, it doesn’t matter, the most important thing is that they have fun.

I know you are focused on technique and getting GOA, but, I want to say how much your style has matured and your body carriage is so beautiful to watch. Having followed you a while, I know you struggle with nerves, but remember this. You are so beautiful on the ice, and strip away the makeup and designer dress, and you are still a beautiful and accomplished athlete. I hope you have a lifetime on the ice, as I can tell it’s what you love.

Don't fret about not vlogging much. I love how much you do manage to share but really, at competition, you focus on that! Maybe your mom could do the vlog for you/with you at the next one, and we can see how it is for someone supporting a skater?

I've been following you for two years (probably not as long as others), and the first video I watched was you reviewing ice flies! Your videos on double jumps helped me so much. I would love if you showed more of your fails! I fall all of the time, so seeing other people going what I’m going through, even at an Amazingly high level gives me hope that I could do it too! Hey Katie!.I really enjoy watching your videos as I am a figure skater myself. Last season was my first season competing again after a knee injury (including two surgeries). I have worked really hard to get all of my jumps back, and I am now working on new ones again (2A and some triples). I was wondering if you have any tips or advice for improving on and off ice rotation, especially for 2A and 3S. I know you have done a video on 2A already, but I wanted to ask you for tips on rotation in general. Good luck this season Katie- I know you can do this!

However I have a question that is so important to me... So, I'll start from the beginning. I'm currently 17 years old and I am desperate to do a competition this year, I asked my parents a year in advance for this season and they said yes. I asked them again today and they said no, I asked why as I was devastated, their response: I need to concentrate on my international baccalaureate! Last year I was getting extremely good grades and got compliments throughout the whole school year. My first grade this year was a 17.5/20 marks. I have been cleaning the house often, barely ask for anything for my birthday or christmas, I also only went out once last year and got scolded when I got back home. Even then, they don't open up to the subject. I have tried everything, I even have the money to pay for a few private lessons which would be needed... I am so desperate right now, is there any tips or anything, literally anything or any idea that I could say to my parents?
