Someone exposed themselves to me , several years ago when I was a little girl in middle school . I was walking to a birthday party in my own neighborhood when I noticed a black car passing me in one direction, then the other. He pulled over and rolled down his window. I assumed he was lost and needed directions. When I realized what was happening, I just walked away and continued to the party. I never said a word to anyone because I felt like I was in trouble or to blame for some reason. I so wish I had known otherwise. I often wonder what prison this guy is rotting away in or, worst case scenario, who he's with or married to and they probably have no idea they are living with a predator. He could even have children. So terrifying. So glad most girls now know to tell someone
You have to consider the time. Obviously today you have to pass certain checks for any jobs where you’re in contact with the public or children specifically. I’m guessing those checks weren’t mandatory for taxi drivers in Australia at that time.
That's a harsh way to put it, but I understand your frustration. It's never okay for anyone to take out their issues on others, especially in harmful ways. Do you think there are ways to address these underlying problems before they escalate?
If your idea of making small talk with the ladies is dropping your trousers and exposing your inadequacies to a stranger then you’re probably going to strike out for the evening’s festivities.
Paul Denyer, an Australian who brutally killed three women in the 90’s is soon up for parole. I cannot believe he wasn’t given a full life sentence. He’ll always be a threat.
Poor ladies, both those he killed and those he assaulted. He'll never get out, I hope 🙏 I really like that male reporter. I've seen him on a few shows before. He's very eloquent and really seems to care about the victims.
Thats completely disgusting to not have immediately checked the location after Rust called it in. Imagine if she wasn’t even dead, but died because no one checked for days.
He wouldn’t pass the mandatory background checks in place today. At least here in the UK, but assuming the same ones are in place in Australia for anyone working in a job where you’re in contact with the public or kids.
He looks perfectly normal. There's nothing about his looks that makes him crazy at all. You have to be very careful with that kind of thing because all you're doing is lumping certain physical features into a stereotype that could be technically applied to innocent people. That's an awful way to think of this situation here with this guy...
I'm from Adelaide and I question the label serial killer? Doesn't the definition state 3 or more murders with time in between? I'm pretty sure he's only officially been linked to 2 murders. Am I wrong? Are there more victims involved?
I like the term "multiple murderer" better anyway. It makes them sound as vad as they are . When someine gets called a serial killer, people tend to mythologize them, even though they are just inadequate jerks who couldn't function in society .
The FBI defines a serial killer as someone who’s killed two or more people in separate events. It’s based on a gathering of subject matter experts and some do consider it three or more so you’re not completely wrong, but the official number is two. I also thought it was three tbf.
Imagine if the first victim wasn’t even dead when he called crime stoppers, but perished because no one checked the location for days. Really poor policing.
Wow, I don't believe I've ever heard of him. I think I do remember seeing Megumi on the telly though, what a sick sick pervert. I just wish though that they didn't mention that he sent his brother a letter without sharing the contents of it.
shows total incompetence of the police to not even consider Mark as the perp. What a nasty peace of work. He should be in prison for life, as he is not safe out.
2 people and they call that a serial killer ? He should be locked up for ever but don't call this anything to do with a serial killer. I was waiting for the big story and got just the same old details and thoughts re told by 4 separate people, could have been a quick 15 minute outline instead.
I think this story is big enough. Seems like you only want as much gory details as possible. And he was a serial killer when you consider his years and years of building up to actually killing someone. He would definitely have continued killing if he wouldn't have been caught.
The FBI officially defines a serial killer as someone who’s killed two or more in separate events, but most subject matter experts consider it three or more.

I’m guessing its hard to keep someone locked up if they haven’t killed anyone even if the police know they are likely to one day. Most countries have set max terms for certain crimes and you can’t keep someone locked up based on assumptions of what they might do in the future. Even prisoners have human rights.

sorry this happened to you.
How was he able to work as taxi driver with those previous convictions
it amazes me the Aussie police did so little to stop him.
But no under 16s on social media! Laughable
@ ha ha yes so true
Uber drivers are often predators & there’s one in the Tampa area now that I know has ASPD… Frank Wendell Brown

From the sounds of it, it was exceptionally SMALL talk.
It seems if you’re rich and well known you’ve got a better chance of getting away with it. You could even go on to become President in some cases.
sounds similar to Bobby Joe Long here in the US....he had Klinefelter's also...
I knew I had heard that term before in a US case but couldn’t remember who it was.
Megumi R.I.P.

Narcissists only have remorse for themselves and nothing or no one ☝️ ELSE MATTERS to THEM.
They love to minimize their crimes that it was the victims fault or consensual
