That sad moment when a fictional rapper and a rapper that hasn't been heard since the early 2000's make a song 1000% better than bullshit produced now...
"Big L from hell and back, collecting heads in my napsack" I fuckin love it, when an artist mentions old school hip hop legends. It is importend, so they won't be forgotten :D
XxTOXICxN1GHTMAR3xX ..................................................................................................................... no comment, just hope someone else sees this so they can make fun of you.
Sam b and John didnt die in Sam island samtide. They locked the others in the bottom and swam to safety where they were fine. In the next game they won't be in it since they made it to safety and are recording new songs and if there is an Easter egg to find a zombified Sam b and John, then it's people dressed like them.
Phil Lamarr is a guy from back in the day on Mad Tv. He does the voice of Sam B in game. The guy rapping in the video for most of the video is the Real Sam B. They Designed the chara to look like him and all that. He just does the music rest of the voice acting is Phil Lamarr.
To those who dont know sam b was played by phil LeMar he starred in a number of games, movies and tv shows, he played sig from the jak and daxter games (also the announcer in jak x, dont recall his name. Hawk from big time rush and he starred as an announcer in real steel (i think). Also i would say the origin of sam b's name came from the baron
I disagree with this because Sam's bio in the original dead island it was a one hit single. Having read the official book, he says something along the lines he quit rapping and only came to Banoi for the blood drive and the money. He had no idea about the plague outbreak until he woke up in the hotel.
@Melissa Turner To be fair, I could see Sam B being able to predict the future. It would explain why he acted unusually calm about the zombie outbreak.
"No Room In Hell" Written by Christopher H. Knight, Josef Lord, and Haris Orkin Performed by Josef "J7" Lord and Christopher H. Knight Produced by Christopher H. Knight
I was a huge Chamillionaire fan, when I was a kid (exactly 5 or 6 years ago) Nowadays he is rather an entrepreneur than a rapper... Sad,that he is or was so underrated, because he had the talent to became a famous rapper, and not just a singer, who had a one hit wonder... :/
Love the use of chamillionaire. Two great one hit wonders joining to make a great hit song. I hope Sam (j7) keeps making music I need more Sam B music on my nexus
I wish this song had a larger part in the game, it was nice when it did show up, but it could've made a much larger impact. Honestly, I probably enjoyed the song much more than I enjoyed Dead Island: Riptide itself, but oh man the part where this song showed up was so sweet, just way too short.
The moment the song comes on you picture yourself being a badass black dude slashing and ripping zombies to pieces... then you realize your a ten year old white kid thinking your cool
***** I dont think so... its right that it kept the good game mechanics of the first game, but in perspective of the story and the environment it felt in my honest opinion absolutly uncreative and dumb. The Story in DI was already not innovativ but it was at least interesting, in DI:R it was just ridiculous... even new stuff like driving boats felt awful. I expected from a sequel to be more steps forward from the first game than just recycling the whole thing again with more annoying jungle and a less interesting story.
Mr. Robattaz Well, do you mind spoilers? If you do look away now. You know how a voice guides you throughout the game? And you end up at the prison to deliver the cure for the Colonel's wife? Well it turns out that only roughly half of that was actually Ryder White. The other half was Kevin, that prisoner you encounter, either imitating him or forcing White to do his bidding. Kevin is in fact Charon, a terrorist with ties to Al Qaeda who unleashed the virus from GeoPharma for...revenge? Kicks? To get buyers interested? There are several versions of the story. So why does Ryder White go off the deep end at the end of the game? I played the end of the game and tried listening, as well as get a good look. The game will prevent you from being able to see whether it was actually White mouthing off and shooting at you or Charon. Then of course Jin has to mess everything up by losing her mind and release the Colonel's infected wife. Things go downhill from there. Turns out Xian Mei may also be a spy or agent of some form as well. Hints are dropped in the game, comic and novel. However it's all but confirmed she's...something. She was running Rob, Kilo Two, at the start of Escape and it's brought up she has to maintain cover. Six months after the outbreak she's still around, all pretense of finding a cure gone and instead she's out to blow up anywhere the virus originates from.
tsstevensts Wow ! Thank you for your effort and telling me that ! I think its a bit sad that the Story of DI and DI:R didnt deal so much with plot twisting in the story and background informations about the virus... The Dead Island universe has so much potential and could be way more interesting than it is now...the game itself has a lot of charm... I really enjoyed Dead Island (1) but was pretty disappointed of Riptide, which you can see in my first comment... (Im only talking about DI & DI:R... never touched that Escape from DI and that other game) Sadly, Publisher Deep Silver now announced that they sacked the developer Yager from Dead Island 2... to it will probably take a lot more time for that title...
Mr. Robattaz Dunno if you played right through the game or gave up somewhere, here's the short version of the story. The Australian Navy takes you in, the ship crashes, you meet up with other survivors and are tasked with getting them to Palanai. On the way Harlow mentions a Dr. Kessler who conducts tests on the carriers and keeps them informed throughout the game. Serpo maintains that Harlow is a terrorist, this is given weight when she makes that jerkass go through the tunnels to see what effects the WWII chemicals have, for those infected it makes them super aggressive and hostile and puts them off side with the survivors. Harlow takes off and it looks like she is going to cut and run, but turns out Serpo infected her and she makes the case they cannot leave, and tries to force the issue. When your character fights back Harlow thinks to sacrifice herself by taking more of the virus to prevent you from spreading it, you fight back, abandon Serpo then take some of the survivors, and your yacht is found a week later, thus far only Xian Mei has turned up. Why less focus on story? When I reviewed the games I felt that Treyarch wanted The Walking Dead, given the trailers that was what made me dread the series and felt this, certainly something like Zombie Bait, was to get attention. Deep Silver however going by some of the gameplay elements wanted Collect Call of the Dead, if they could get the licensing they would have had as the four survivors Dewey of Scream, Faith of Angel, Norman Bates from Psycho and...how about Keith David from Saints Row? He's a fan. Anyway I think maybe fan reaction, critical reception, expressed disappointment that the game was not a zombies killing children simulator like was suggested, but they enjoyed the game itself, hence ways to expand on that aspect, explore new ideas, even if they were not entirely successful. If you missed them John Morgan and a World Vision volunteer provide backstory through diaries that you can find and listen to, I pictured Morgan reacting to the army's response like a Collingwood fan after a loss and thought it was an apt analogy. One other barrier in regards to story was how the novel, for one, and Escape Dead Island for another, either tries to fill in the gaps or makes drastic changes. Jin for example, you can read my thoughts on the Tv Tropes page about her but the novel makes her completely blameless, it goes with Xian Mei being a lowly spy posing as a receptionist, but the third game essentially makes her much higher placed in knowing about the virus beforehand, being a special forces handler, maybe working for the Chinese government or who created the virus and stopping Charon, it's ambiguous. Which version is correct? Epidemic and the proper sequel look set to dump story and focus more on what gamers want.
are you high or just stupid lol just kidding both are good but one who actually takes time to look at a game and write a badass song like that is true talent
started listening to this song, loved it, my room mate and i literally went to ticketmaster looking to see when we could go see one of his shows. Found out he's not a "real rapper"... umm the hell? This shit is awesome, how is he not a real rapper?
Thyunda but someone is obviously rapping, and he's real, whether he's famous or not, the main guy should take the name sam b and run with it, he's good
the one who voiced him in the game is Phil LaMarr but i dont know if they changed actors or one did the rape song because ive seen this name appear to Josef Lord
That sad moment when a fictional rapper and a rapper that hasn't been heard since the early 2000's make a song 1000% better than bullshit produced now...
Hasn't been heard since 2000? lmfao!!!!!!!!! He has a lot of new shit out bro you just ain't lookin'. He underrated so much it's crazy.
Hasn't been heard as in, on the radio...
Cause he too real to be on the radio, lmfao. Radio ain't gonna play his shit cause he ain't mainstream.
Dylan Foster Let his show Drake a thing or two :P
because real rapper tend to be independent and write their original rap songs.
I would buy SamB's album.....if they could make one.....
If only Sam B. was an actual rapper! lol
Didn't know Sam B. was killed in Riptide.
You just ruined the game for me.
Sam B. wasn't killed in Riptide, I completed it & my bro was using Sam B.
He is dead. They all died in the boat
Techland actually made a decent rap song just for their game?! That's what i call devotion!
"ghost rider with no chains, spawn life with no capes" is one of the best lines i've ever heard
No room in hell and who do you vodoo are badass
I fwuacking love this man!
Why the hell isn't Sam B a rapper? I'd buy his songs on ITunes!
i put this on a cd and it jams hard in my car...love this song!
I think the guy that sings is Josef Lord, and the voice actor is Phil Lammar .
Sam B. sounds like zombie, just blew your mind.
just revisiting this song.
Chamillionaire looks like a 15 year old 50cent
He and 50 sound almost the same.
This is really well produced whoever did this, nice job.
The best distraction for the zombies
"Big L from hell and back, collecting heads in my napsack" I fuckin love it, when an artist mentions old school hip hop legends. It is importend, so they won't be forgotten :D

GOD i love this song!! Its perfect for the game!:D
I'm just hanging around listening to it while the others wait for me XD
the best clip of all times and peoples!!!!!
He should be an actual rapper.
It is an actual rapper playing Sam B.
No its featuring Chamillionare, but Sam B himself is not an actual rapper.
Terence Person The voice actor of Sam B and the guy in the music-video is an actual rapper.
Yes it is. A rapper called J7 is rapping as Sam B in this
Oh shit you're right, I feel dumbsincei forgot to read the description
So happy they came out with another music video for Sam B.
2:47 is the best bit!
sam b should have made an album! i love Dead Island, so thats a bonus!
NEW FAV SONG!!!!!
Cэмушка, это наикрутейший клип всех времён и народов!!!!
Who voices Sam B.? Is he an actual rapper? Cause I'd actually like to hear more of him.
His name is like "Josef J7" or something like that. But the Sam B rapper is a different person than the voice actor in the game.
+XxTOXICxN1GHTMAR3xX just read the fucking song title man...
XxTOXICxN1GHTMAR3xX ..................................................................................................................... no comment, just hope someone else sees this so they can make fun of you.
+Cross Dement boi

Sam b and John didnt die in Sam island samtide. They locked the others in the bottom and swam to safety where they were fine. Son Goku but you're forgetting that sam b's chain gives him mystical powers.
I wish I could download this on to my phone.
R.I.P Sam B
Is this actually Phil LaMarr (voice actor of Sam B) or someone else
the singing voice is someone else but all the in-game dialogue aside from the singing is phil lamarr
Josef Lord
Phil Lamarr is a guy from back in the day on Mad Tv. He does the voice of Sam B in game. The guy rapping in the video for most of the video is the Real Sam B. They Designed the chara to look like him and all that. He just does the music rest of the voice acting is Phil Lamarr.
kenny titus that is exactly what i said
I love how in the description you phrased it as youtube yelling at you.
I am the only one who things he looks good as witch doctor ?
I think he looks awesome
To those who dont know sam b was played by phil LeMar he starred in a number of games, movies and tv shows, he played sig from the jak and daxter games (also the announcer in jak x, dont recall his name. Hawk from big time rush and he starred as an announcer in real steel (i think). Also i would say the origin of sam b's name came from the baron
Yeah, I'd watch a Dead Island movie
during the the mission while this song was playing, you felt badass on that scene!
In my headcanon Sam B is psychic. Before he came to Banoi he had a premonition about the outbreak and wanted to warn the world...:P.
Love this. I love the fact that he's wearing skull candies!
this song is so damn addictive this dude should be more famous than 50 and eminem

Best character in the game
In my opinion
I SAID IN MY OPINION
damnit to late I see the arguments
and I'd agree with you he has so many fun weapons plus watching zombies fly when hit then explode into bits is still amazing
I like Logan and John
It kinda makes him seem more like a mutant which is cool
Hell yeah. The two Sam B tracks alone are completely bad-ass
The moment the song comes on you picture yourself being a badass black dude slashing and ripping zombies to pieces... then you realize your a ten year old white kid thinking your cool
Lol
Can't stop listening to this song
The better the song, the shitter the game ... probably 95% of the production cash of DI:R went into this video xD but well fuck it SAM B is mah man
