As to your comment about SM-33, that was not SM-33 in the junk pile, but it reminded Wim about SM-33 (it had a crab in it's eye like the bilge rat). We saw the pirates dragging SM-33, who got zapped, with them and Jod.
Whoever casted these young actors, did a great job, they have so much talent and charisma together. In this epi., we see the children becoming just not better teammates, but family due to their strengths, shortcomings, vulnerabilities and weaknesses, which they acknowledge, thru-out the epi. Fern is a natural leader; however, a true leader can only be as good as their team, by being sympathetic & empathetic to their needs, which she is learning. The children on the slide were a call back to the movie, 'The Goonies' Did anyone notice Jaleel White aka Urkel @ 3:12. 😂
@@danielhollenbach539 I thought I saw them take him too, but the droid in the junk pile had the same rat creature come out the eye, which made me wonder if it was SM-33
@@TheAhsokaTanoFan It was a smaller crab creature in the broken droid head. SM-33's is a rat-like creature, I think they actually call it a bilge rat, just like old sailing ship rats.
The lightsaber will still be blue. He's not an evil motivated force user, he's just selfish. Not enough to "bleed" the crystal color. It's like his using parts of Jedi quotes and philosophies, he's interpreting them as something more selfish than what they were meant to be.
KB has the same problem as Fennec Shand, she can not survive without her cybernetic prosthetics. And that scares me, because of the team she is the one i like the most.
I think something in the pirate code will be an important part of how the kids win against Jod in the end, and probably sway him to good. Or he may end up sacrificing himself for them. Captain goes down with the ship, and all.
Absolutely love the new ship the kids have now 👍🏽 and how well they started working together for the first time. Kudos to the child actors, the writers and the director Bryce Dallas Howard 😊❤
Hey there ATF!!!! Happy new year and great reaction and review vid! I like getting the extra time with KB and the kids. Will be interesting to see if they can beat the pirates home. Anyways, be well and see ya in the next vid. 🙂
Hi James! Happy New Year to you as well! Thank you for the comment and I am glad you enjoyed the video, I am curious to see if they can beat them home as well. I am hoping they will somehow team up with Jod again. Looking forward to the next episode!
Wim definitely seems to be Force Sensitive, hence his desire to follow the Trash Crabs. It was the will of the Force guiding him to where he needed to be in order to reunite with Fern, Neal and the ship.
Hey, Jazmin! A character-building episode which tried my patience as I'm not enraptured by these kids. However, Jude Law in the trial scene almost made up for it! He pulled a fabulous Mark Antony-180 out of his a$$ and went from goner to rabble-rouser by whipping the pirates into a greedy frenzy! SM-33 wasn't left behind. Gunter ordered the pirates to bring the droid. 'Pronounce', in that context, is to announce or proclaim with authority. It wasn't a malapropism. Kelly MacDonald, Julie Ann Emery and Jaleel White reprised their roles as Pokkit, the spa greeter, and Gunter. Vane cameo! I thought Wim was pretty stupid to follow crabs AWAY from the plateau and that he did NOT get his hero moment by assisting KB since he was just following her instructions. I loved how the hull demolition button sheared off the 'Onyx Cinder's weathered outer layer like dead skin to reveal a sleek vehicle underneath! The KB occipital lobotomy scene was very cool. She's like Lando's aide, Lobot, in "Empire Strikes Back".
Hey oxhine great points and connections! Always enjoy your breakdowns. Good point about SM-33, in my initial reaction I mistook the droid in the pile for him. Good point about Wim as well, I hope it gets a bigger moment! Looking forward to tonight's episode :)
It's cool that they've put the implant into canon, because until now, we only had Legends to tell us why Lobot had it. I'm pretty sure his is a full brain replacement, but he's still human. We'll possibly have something similar in real life to help people with brain issues like Alzheimer's or other brain damage. With KB, it's probably some kind of spinal cord injury so the implant is for autonomic systems ( with a memory upgrade as a bonus), and the occipital lobe processes her vision to boot. She must have been in a pretty bad accident to require that.
The lightsaber will always be blue because the blade's color is due to the natural crystal used by the Jedi who constructed it (Sith make synthetic cryatals, that's why their blades are red. That "bleeding" of crystals is a Disney created myth, I stick with the original lore). Jodwrick could be Jedi or Sith and it would remain blue. So don't look to the blade's color to be a clue to Jod's true nature.

I really hope this gets renewed as the producers have stated they have an idea for season 2 and this season has been fantastic!

The actor portraying Wim was already an established Disney actor. He played the little brother in Encanto
You saw the pirates take the lightsaber from Jod when they detained him.

He is too greedy and too much of a pirate to sacrifice his own life.
Those are great points actually! I think both of those are a strong possibility.
At some point Jod (in we don't trust) will realize Captain Fern, engineer chief KB, pilot Neel, and gunner Wim are the best crew he ever served with
