IMO, I don't like the Clove Hitch - it's easy to tie incorrectly and it's prone to slipping even when tied correctly. The two-half hitches eliminates all those issues. Stay safe!

your overhand knot at the end is gonna be tough to untie.
Too true - it's a trade.
