I'm currently an international student in Edinburgh and LOVE it here! The city is beautiful and you'll meet and make connections with people from all over the globe :) If any of you are debating coming here or have any questions you can feel free to ask me. :) I'd be happy to help
Hey! I'm from Greece and I've been thinking about studying in Edinburgh too but I don't know if I can afford it. Are the living costs high there? How difficult is it to get a scholarship? Any answer would be really helpfull😊
+Marina Bloom Compared to Greece the cost of living is definitely higher, but a lot of people work part time and can get by on that plus some loans. Housing for students is £400 a month through Uni, but if you get a place with roommates you could pay less. Plus for EU students your masters would be around £3,000 (which compared to the States is amazing). That tuition didn't apply to me sadly. Scholarships depend on your major and a lot of other stuff so I can't offer much information for that, sadly.
+C Oh gosh. I'm doing my Masters right now so I don't know the admissions process or requirements gor a Bachelors. However, most of the Universities will put a note with the requirements for the major your interested in on the description page for that major :) If you don't meet those exact requirements, but you're close you should absolutely still apply and just make sure your essay is awesome! ;) Good luck applying! Let me know if you get in.
+C I'm sorry, but I don't. I did my Bachelor's in the US. We'll also have to wait and see how Brexit will affects the entry requirements for non-UK residents unfortunately. Fingers crossed that they don't change anything and keep it all open!
+C My University emailed all of us saying that nothing was changing for those currently accepted and attending etc etc. I do hope you're right and it stays that way! There's so much talk about it in the UK that I can't even wrap my head around it all.
It is really super university. My son was in Glasgow university for his M.sc in bio tech. We were there for his convocation. We have seen Edinburgh. Its beautiful
please do not go to the University of Edinburgh to study, it is very unfriendly school. There are so much data to show the supervisors misguided students' thesis , my previous supervisors are the one of the examples. As I know, there are another so much students met the same problems
+mei-lin Yang 😨 so bad !!!! in Chile we have similar problems. do you recommend another university? I'm a Designer interested in education and creative practice
University of Edinburgh is a reputed institution. However, experience may vary from person to person. Rest assured, the professors are excellent and students really helpful.
@@sabrinafilipe5918 Stellenbosch University has a very good relationship with many Scottish Universities :) especially Aberdeen. I spoke with my Law of Succession Professor and a Scottish Professor was also a guest at one of our lectures.
