We had ‘wall to wall’ carpet throughout our downstairs and the stairs in our prewar Birmingham U.K. home back in the 1970’s. Upstairs was lovely wood floors with rugs. We immigrated to the U.S. and had ‘wall to wall’ installed in our home. I don’t recall what the floor itself was. Again, upstairs was wood with lovely room size area rugs. Today we have wood and lots of area rugs in all the rooms. No wall to wall anywhere. It’s not as cushy to walk on as when we had wall to wall.
Carpets are gross!! It's hard to maintain. Dust constantly will get stuck in it even if you clean them. Like it's the 21st century, get normal flooring instead.
A little tip; don’t put the detergent in the machine. The soap stays in the carpet and becomes sticky in the fibers. This will accumulate more dirt faster. Instead mage a spray bottle with the soap solution. Spray the carpet let it sit for 5 min and rinse wirh carpet clener with clean water. 😊 Just a tip.
yes and no, this machine does that spray bottle method. other equipment you would definitely have to, my dad cleaned carpets for years and i watched him do it for a long time.
I vacuumed like crazy before cleaning the carpets at my new place and it still got clogged, so now I'm on the search for a vacuum that actually sucks up all the dirt/dust 🤔
I love that you're not only hiding your children's faces, but also showing them natural consequences!! Getting mud on the carpet shouldn't be a punishable offense, but it does mean you have to clean the carpet! They learned, they cleaned, they enjoyed, yall bonded! How wonderful!

It’s detergent formulated for carpet cleaners though. You should always do a rinse with just water after cleaning with detergent though.
