    The Pinball Hall of Fame is one of my favorite places in the world. It's on the verge of going away forever. They're more than half to their goal of keeping this place alive. If you can, please help: gofund.me/8fe844b5

      If anyone deserves a chance to get funded, it's this diamond in the rough. "Better money spent here than that bimbo broad who though Gorilla Glue made a great hairspray substitute."

      I’m a regular there. Today is last day in current location. New location soft opens tomorrow.

    The Golden Age of solid-state pinball was the 80's. Hard to beat that era.

    Agreed. One of my very few stop points while in Vegas. It's so anti-Vegas, too. No flash on the front. Area looks like many commercial zones in Los Angeles. A true hidden gem in a town that wants to blind you with ten billion flashing bulbs and a river of booze. Better entertainment for less then some digital one armed bandit, too.
    They still got popcorn for a quarter?

      jupreindeer yep they still got the popcorn. They also have the cheapest vending machines in Las Vegas 😁

      Looks like they are rotating machines on a regular basis. So many titles in your video that were not there the last time I had stopped by. Definitely a place where a $20 can go a long way. (I think the pin must be relatively new to even sport a 50/75 cent intro price.)

    The signature on Robotron is programmer Eugene Jarvis.... he's also the creator of several other famous arcades like NARC, Smash tv and even designed a few pinball machines like Firepower

    Thanks for doing a video on this!! My friends and I had a lot of fun at this place- it's such a neat and interesting place. (one of things to be grateful for when living in LV 😂😜) I was all over the arcade cabinets for most of the time there so this video made me appreciate the pinball machines a lot more.

    If you liked that place, you'd love the Museum of Pinball in Banning, CA. It's like the Pinball HOF, but much bigger.

    Hey it's so cool that you went there! When I lived in Las Vegas it was one of my favourite places to hang out at! I'm happy that it's still open :) :) :) I even wrote an essay about the place and planned obsolescence lol things were built to last way back then! Greetings from Canada :) keep up the good work!!

      Every time that I've been there, the place was relatively packed. Definitely a favorite spot among the residence and I can hope the tourists who are able to find out about this place. Their advertising used to be practically nothing. I have heard it has since improved in some minimal ways.

    I can die in that place! Love the old EM pinballs. The sounds of the "ding-dong" bells and scoring reels turning. What an awesome place!

    my aunt used to live in vegas and as we were driving out to see her while we were looking for her place we ran across that so while I was staying there a while I got to go check that out! I'm more a classic arcade person than a pinball fan, but I did spend a few quarters on some of the pinball tables there, like trying out the TRON table for the first time! it's a great place if you love classic games and I agree worth checking out if you're out in vegas!

    Awesome to see Slugfest! I spent so much money on that game some random week in 1997 on a North Carolina boardwalk. Even got a few cards from it.

      Andy Sorensen - I used to play Slugfest at my local arcade all the time back in the early/mid 90s. I still have all the cards I got from it.

    I believe the owner (blonde guy with glasses) was on Special When Lit (pinball documentary) and was also on American Restoration. He is the one who services all the pinballs in that place. Thanks for posting. I used to have Triple Action and you whizzed right past it!!!

    I have 5 full size pinball machines at home. We have a local pool hall that has something like 40-50 machines. It's popular enough they have been removing pool tables to make room for pins. They have even had to upgrade their electric service to handle that many machines

    Before I even saw it, I recognized the sound effects from Road Show without looking. One of my favorite tables of all time. Never seen one with a color screen and LED lighting, though, always seen the orange monochrome screen and incandescent lighting.

    I'm ashamed to admit this, but I've never played a real pinball table. I've played numerous video game pinball simulators and the practically photo realistic compilations from Gottlieb and Williams, but I just know in my heart that they don't compare to the real thing. I could spend weeks at a place like this and never get bored.

    • @RetailArchaeology
      @RetailArchaeology  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mr. Boy video pinball is great, and they even had a virtual pinball table there that was made out of flat panel displays and you could pick multiple different tables to play. But even that didn't have the feel of a real pinball machine. You really owe it to yourself to seek one out and play one for yourself 😁

    In 1975 I went to a bowling ally in Walnut Ridge, Ark. They had a pinball machine that matched on the same number every time. The randomizer in it was bad. They changed the number every week when they got the money out, but we figured it out everytime we played it. We played as long as wanted on a dime I think it was back then. I just remembered I liked a video came in the early 80's called Dig-Dug. You could win free games on it by getting diamonds.

    Over the past couple years here in Madison WI we have been blessed to have a retro arcade open by a couple small business owners and its been doing well. 15 dollars for all day play as much as you want and they are always adding rare pinballs and arcade games. Its called Geeks Mania

    Can anyone tell me if that area is a place to walk around at night? I'm planning a visit to Las Vegas one of these days, and I've heard that the area surrounding the strip (not the strip itself) can be pretty seedy.

      Buccaneer is awesome as is Firepower. Hulk looks great but gameplay is not so good(in my opinion) Strikes and Spares has a great backglass, but needs lane change bad. Nice collection.

    • @basshead2003
      @basshead2003 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Austin D - No, it's free to get in, but all the games are coin op. I would say most of them are only 25 cents per play, with only the newest ones being 50 or 75 cents.
