Schindler M-Series Traction Elevators-Sky Terrace 428-Hong Kong

The Sky Terrace is located at the top of Victoria's Peak-one of the best observation points in HK. These are nice Schindler elevators with touch-sensitive M-Series! The motors are a bit loud when winding down. The lighted floor in the cab is a nice touch. I like the door buttons on touch M-Series because they still click even when they don't have a microswitch in them. Or do they? I don't knowww. There is a Dewhurst COP on the other side for accessibility. Many others have filmed these before.

I never understood why, but why do some elevators with voice announcement need to announce that the door is opening?

No clue. Probably to make people standing next to the door aware so they can move out the way
