I don't understand how Ulf Soderberg is so unknown, who the guy is, where his music is used and if it was ever used anywhere, I don't even remember how I found the man's works. Everything related to his music feels appropriately to his style, like a fever dream. I feel so special knowing about this gem, considering how barely anyone knew and listened to him before, I wonder how many people listen to this to this day. It's been at least 2 years in my playlist, already brings so many memories of lonely nights with this on repeat for hours.
That's so on point - it brings memories and melancholy of listening to it alone at nights. Cause it's so unknown and also it's not really music to listen to with someone I remember I found Ulf by having his track Blaeld recommended to me on youtube I think? Or maybe it was some viking ambient music compilation

I learned about Ulf when I first heard Draconian Poetry, I'm sad that he doesn't seem to have continued that project but still, I'm glad he's still making this wonderful music
This reminds me of looking out onto an icy landscape with the snow falling slowly and steadily. It is very quiet and very serene but somehow there is magic in the air. Its just you and your environment. A calm surrounds you. This song comes to mind. It is very awe-inspiring.

The album - Tidvatten - could transtate as ‘The Waters of Time’. ‘Nordwinterogon’ - the ‘eyes’ are the ‘eyes of the heart’ during the northern winter. An Orthodox monk from Finland (New Valaam) or Northern Russia (Old Valaam) would know the meaning of this.
I can't 'get over this' either - and indeed, why should we? There's never been anything quite like this on the planet. So what is it telling us? Perhaps we shouldn't try to put it into words...

The song title translates as either North Winter Eyes. Also, the album name Tidvatten means Tidal Waters, however tid means both tidal and time.
